James Croft Full Description

Capturing Your Wedding Story with Genuine Emotion

If you're looking for a wedding photographer who focuses on real moments rather than posed perfection, James Croft is the perfect choice. Based in Surrey, James specializes in documentary wedding photography, capturing the laughter, joy, and candid moments that make your day truly unique. His friendly and relaxed approach helps you and your guests feel comfortable, making the photos feel natural and heartfelt—like having a trusted friend behind the camera.

A Personal, Tailored Approach to Your Wedding Day

Every couple’s love story is different, and James understands that deeply. He takes on only a limited number of weddings each year to ensure he can focus on what matters most to you. This means your personalities and story shine through in every image. Here’s how James works with you:

  • Getting to Know You: James offers plenty of time to chat—whether in person or over the phone—so he understands your vision and what’s important to you.
  • Venue Familiarity: He visits your wedding venue ahead of time to plan the best spots and lighting for your photos.
  • All-Day Coverage: From the excitement of getting ready to the energy on the dance floor, James is there from start to finish, capturing every key moment.

What Happens After Your Wedding Day

Your experience with James Croft doesn’t end when the music stops. He offers a thoughtful and professional post-wedding service to keep your memories alive:

  • A Sneak Peek: The day after your wedding, you’ll receive a beautifully edited image to share with family and friends right away.
  • Your Complete Gallery: Within eight weeks, you’ll get access to a secure online gallery with all your high-resolution, edited photos. You can easily share this with loved ones and order professional prints.
  • Bespoke Albums: For a lasting keepsake, James offers custom-designed wedding albums—from classic fine art books to modern, magazine-style coffee table albums.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Cheerful, bright, honest, documentary, fun

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Nowadays we would meet on Zoom, get to know each other and discuss your exciting plans. I would then arrange a time to meet you at the venue to walk and talk, scout some amazing locations for pictures and get to know each other more so it's nice and relaxed on the day!

Describe how you got into photography.

Photography has been my passion since I experimented with my first camera as a child. I shot my first wedding at 6 years old with a plastic camera I got from a cereal packet. It was so bad I missed off most of the guest's heads! It's fair to say I've come a long way since then :)
