What is your most memorable wedding?
One of my most memorable weddings was Octavia's. I left Bristol to head for the London to film the wedding and after a beautiful ceremony, the couple took a rowing boat down the Thames to be met by bag pipes and a samba band! The speeches were brilliant and heartfelt, just want you want as a photographer and filmmaker!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Documentary, natural, candid, emotive and people-focused.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of my ability to put couple's at ease when in front of the camera. As a camera shy person myself, I know what it can feel like not wanting to have your picture taken.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When planning your day and finding a moment for couple photos, make sure you don't organise them straight after the ceremony. That's your time to relax, celebrate with your friends and enjoy a well-deserved drink.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I've captured a wedding which had a ceremony that included a literal tying of the knot - "an ancient Celtic tradition called the Handfasting Ceremony". It was absolute stunning and a style of ceremony I'd not seen before.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a couple reaches out, I'll set up a pre-wedding consultation where we can get to know each other and have a chat about your day. After that I'll send over a contract which is returned with a deposit of £150 and then the date is secured! Then we can stay in contact and have another chat a month before the wedding to go over any changes.
