A fairytale wedding in a forest, it included toasting marshmallows on a campfire and a gramophone playing old records at the reception in a barn!
My style is always unique to each couple, along with being natural, relaxed and documentary
I like to treat my clients as friends as well as business partners, I feel it is important we both 'click' in the first instance to lay the grounds for some fun and fabulous wedding photography!
I would say consider the photography when you are looking at receptions for your wedding, a reception with big windows and lots of natural light is going to make more beautiful photos than dimly lit locations with artificial lighting. Also always make the 'important people' like family and close friends known to the photographer & videographer beforehand so that they can feature them lots!
I absolutely love when a couple use handmade wedding decorations, I think it is such a lovely personal thing to do together and imprints their personalities into the wedding.
After a couple get in touch with me we will have a chat about which package will suit them best, along with which add-ons might be needed to capture their wedding day the best. We will then organise a location (preferably their wedding venue) to have a catch up and engagement shoot, this allows us time to get to know each other better and also to make the couple feel more comfortable on camera.
This is a very hard question because there are so many important moments on a wedding day that need capturing on camera! But if I have to choose I would have to say the photo of them both after they have taken their vowels is important, the expressions captured during this moment are beautiful!
I have always felt that the weather is what it is, and noone should ever let a bit of rain effect the most important day of their life! With all my couples we will agree on a 'backup' scenario if a rainy day does arise, this could either mean finding a beautiful sheltered location for photos, or my favourite is working with the rain drops and creating a beautiful magical photo- rain can look like sparkles with flash added carefully!
I have been glued to my camera all my life. It started when I was around 10 years old and was bought a polaroid camera that made stickers... my wall was later covered in moments from my life that I would have forgotten otherwise and family members who are not all here today. Without photos those memories would be forgotten forever!
