What is your most memorable wedding?
All I'm going to say is one minute cake on table... Sun comes out and minutes latter cake not on table. ahh that happened!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Connection. Emotive. Natural. Candid. Relaxed.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I pay attention to detail and pursue excellence in everything. My whole business ethos is centred on quality and the pursuit of being world-class. I've heavily invested in world-class materials. World-class equipment. World-class training and knowledge. World-class business systems and software.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once you reach out to me with an enquiry, I look to do some fact finding and learn more about your plans for the big day. This is crucial for me to best guide and advise you from the start. If I feel that I am not the right photographer for your specific needs, then I would look to guide you to a better match. I often like to follow up an initial email conversation with a quick video call. :)
If we feel like we would like to work together we can get the ball rolling and book you in my calendar. As I value quality over quantity, I only take on around 15 clients a year and price so that I can ensure I deliver the quality experience I want you to have. So it is very important to get booked in asap as spaces go quickly!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Can I break the rules here and say 2 photos? haha! So firstly, an intimate and feeling filled couple portrait is an absolute must and one of the highlights of the day for me! It is the time to get away from the circus of the whole day and have some special time with the one you love. Secondly, I would highly recommend getting evening party photos with friends and family. Whilst you may not remember the events of the evening the next day, the images will tell their own unforgettable stories and make you smile time and time again! haha! Love them!
Of course I don't need to state the obvious shots like during the ceremony or a first look.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace the weather! I'm SERIOUS! That may be the last thing you want to picture, getting soaked outside in the rain on your big day but you will love every moment of it for the rest of your life. Sounds counter-productive I know, but some of the best weddings I've been lucky enough to capture have often had things go wrong. That's normal! That's life! But it also makes the day with the laughs and memories it creates!
So have your transparent brolly to hand but seriously, just embrace the day as it comes! :)
