⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Ian Is an Absolute Gem of a Wedding Photographer!

From the very first moment we met Ian, we knew we were in the best hands. Our wedding had a romantic, soft pastel theme with gentle blues and blush pinks, set in the beautiful Barrowby Church followed by a joyful celebration at Waltham Village Hall — and Ian captured the entire day with such warmth, creativity, and heart. Ian was not only professional but incredibly friendly, funny, and down-to-earth. He made everyone feel instantly comfortable, which is such a gift on a day that can be filled with nerves! His relaxed, easy-going nature put us completely at ease and made the whole experience feel fun and effortless. It honestly felt like having another friend with us, rather than a photographer. What stood out most was how inclusive and thoughtful he was — he treated every guest with the same kindness and respect, making everyone feel seen and valued. That energy filtered through the entire day and really helped create the warm, welcoming atmosphere we were dreaming of. And the photos? Absolutely magical. He beautifully captured the romance of the day, the soft pastel tones, the tiny emotional moments, and the big joyous ones too. Every image feels full of life and love — we’ll treasure them forever. Ian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such a special part of our wedding. We truly couldn’t have imagined the day without you.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Sorrento, Italy in 2009! It was such a privilege to be asked to go to Italy for wedding photographs and the day was spectacular, right from the bridal prep images at the start of the day to the wonderful, magical, colourful sunset in the evening.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, unobtrusive, original, stylish, reliable

What about your business are you most proud of?

The great reviews couples leave me

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A couple had their wedding themed around a TV listing guide, akin to the radio times! Each 'copy' gave info about the couple/day as if it was an article as well as the running of the day like a TV schedule!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once the couple have decided, I will arrange a meeting to discuss their requirements as well as going through the day with them. I'll outline what they can expect as well as outlining what I do as part of the day's photography. Once they're happy, we'll go from there and I'll be on hand from that day, right through to the wedding day itself. Afterwards, images are provided and I am on hand to discuss any ways in which they want to show off their images.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

For me, it's the little features that stand out. So whatever makes your wedding different, that's what I should get. A couple's hands/rings always makes a lovely image

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

One groom was an electronics engineer and he had made lots of hearts with circuit boards and red LEDs. He'd dotted these around the venue and wanted to make sure they were part of the album!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

A light umbrella! Rain doesn't always stop play, sometimes it's fun to get outside even if it's just for 2 or 3 minutes!

Describe how you got into photography.

My father, definitely! His love of photography and the family slideshows we looked at when I was younger always excited and thrilled me. There's something about viewing images on a large screen, the atmosphere and memories of when the shutter was pressed.
