Ian Fry Photography

We used Ian Fry Photography for our Wedding in February and we are so glad we did! We booked the all day photography and photobooth package as this covered everything we wanted. We got an engagement shoot which helped us feel at ease with Ian and in front of the camera, this also meant we were able to use these photos for our wedding invites and day stationery which was a bonus! On the day Ian got amazing staged photos as well as so many natural photos which are all incredible.

Your Wedding Day is one of the fastest days you will ever live, even though it starts early and ends late. With everyone trying to say hello, and congratulations or even just trying to have 5 minutes with your new partner, the days just flows by, and you may miss the little details that people will talk about for years to come when you ask them about the day and the memories they remember. But with Ian there, taking photos, these moments are captured, and you get to see everything through new eyes each time you go through these photos. We were married in June, and from start to finish, Ian felt like a member of the family, he got involved with everyone, taking photos of not just us, but of the decorations, our friends and family and all the details in between. He took time to check with us as to what his next plan of action was, so we knew that as much as we couldn’t see him, he was out there taking photos of the memories we plan to cherish for the rest of our lives. He took his time with our family group photos and even helped with my dress and getting my bouquet when halfway through photos he’d realised I never had it! I didn’t even twig! His attention to detail makes the photos more amazing then we could ever have dreamt of. Not only did we have well over a fifteen hundred photos, which each were gorgeous and pinpointed a different memory of the wedding with such amazing quality, but the photo book was gorgeous, so professionally put together by Ian and printed and USB filled with the photos for safe keeping once the online album goes and presented in a gorgeous box. Each time something new came through the post, the memories came flooding back and so does all those feelings. I also highly recommend buying from the online store associated with Ian, we got posters made and the quality is outstanding, worth the price (especially with the gift card from Ian). Ian, thank you, you made out wedding special and the photos you took will remind us of this day forever. I could not recommend you enough.

Both me and my husband aren't the most photogenic or confident of people but from the first meeting with Ian he made us feel so comfortable, from then it was clear he was the photographer for our special day. Our wedding day was the most amazing day, Ian captured some fantastic photos which we will treasure forever. Ian spent the full day with us from the bridal preparation up until late evening. Ian's communication was amazing from start to finish always willing to go above and beyond. We also hired Ian's Photo booth for our evening reception which was a real hit with all our family and friends. Looking forward to finding another occasion to hire Ian again. If you want the best photographer out there who will perfectly capture your wedding day then Ian is your man! He’s Devon based and did the photographer for my sister when she got married and he was incredible! So when it came to finding a photographer for our wedding it was a no brainer, there was only one man we wanted for the job! He didn’t even bat an eyelid at travelling all the way up to Derbyshire for our wedding, only asking kindly that we pay an addition to cover the travel costs which was the least we could do! From the chaos of the bridal party getting ready, to the secret moments captured as man and wife, right through to the drunken dancing at the end of the night Ian snapped it all! Sometimes we didn’t even notice he was there taking a picture, yet they ended up being some of the best ones for us to choose. I absolutely cannot fault him, from his professionalism, his kindness, his patience (sorry Ian!) and his general manner in which he went about it all was incredible and really comforting for what can be a very stressful occasion; you can just absolutely tell he loves his job. Nothing was too much for him on the day and whenever we needed him, he was there ready and waiting! Not to mention his amazing value for money wedding packages, especially if you’re wanting a photo booth for your wedding like we did. From start to finish our experience with Ian has been flawless and there really is nobody else I would recommend. Thank you so much Ian for absolutely everything you did for us, we will never be able to express fully our gratitude. The prints and the album are absolutely gorgeous and we will treasure them forever. As someone who typically hates her photo being taken you made me love nearly every single photo and made me feel and look amazing. Here’s hoping you end up doing the triple with our family! ♥️

Ian is an amazing, genuine and kind character. He made sure to take mine and my wife’s wishes into account at every moment of our big day and nothing was too much hassle, even when we were messaging him at ungodly hours of the night on the days leading up. He has a great professional manner, is happy to answer any and all questions but can also have a good laugh with you, which happened on a few occasions where my wife decided to go climbing on rocks along the beach for some impromptu shots 😂 Our guests had nothing but nice things to say as well as no one thought him intrusive, he was very well hidden throughout the day so guests could enjoy themselves but still managed to get the best album with a variety of shots. It’s almost magical how he does it! We picked the package with an engagement photo shoot as a bonus. We would highly recommend this as for starters it gets you into the feel of how he works and helps you to get to know one another before the big day :) For ours it actually started raining, but instead of cutting the shoot short he got us to leave the beach and carried on in a nearby arcade for what turned out to be the most fun and unique engagement shoot we could have asked for. As ladies who have spent lots of money on arcades during our Uni days in Blackpool this couldn’t have turned out more perfect. We could not recommend anyone better for the job! Thank you Ian for making our big day truly special!

Just WOW. Our wedding photos turned out better than imagined. The fact that he dangled out of a top floor window of the Castle to get our perfect group photo says it all!! He really goes the extra mile and we could not be any more grateful to him for helping us to capture our perfect day. Thank you SO MUCH Ian!
