What is your most memorable wedding?
Each wedding in all the varying locations have something special. I don't think that I could name just one. But I could say the different elements that we loved. We love the great outdoors, and understand that not all venues offer wonderful locations. So, as part of our photography plans we will scout an area that will be suitable for you and bring forth the creativity and vibrancy we're looking for. We take the simple, and make it look awesome. With that in mind, we would say when we travelled to Trevenna barns, in Cornwall. We were inspired by Poldark. Then another wedding we decided to leave the wedding guests for an hour and travel to a local forest, Cannock chase.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Fun, Relaxed, Artistic, Energtic
What about your business are you most proud of?
That we don't take our creativity to seriously. What I mean is we don't get hung up on rules, which limit the photographs we take. Yet, we can diversify when it comes back to sitting in the business chairs and bring forth a good customer service. We know that communication is key, from the start of your booking all the way through to receiving your product. We have to be both, good photographers and good customer service.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Value, quality. You can leave the little details to last, so don't get hung up on them just yet. Think about your day like a jigsaw, get the corner pieces in first. Venue, Ceremony, make up artist, photographer. Once you have your venue and ceremony sorted, you will have a rough idea of times, and this will help you choose your packages for your photographer, and videographer. Remember who you choose, will have the responsibility to make your day look amazing forever. Think of the end product, and what you don't have now can you return for albums later?
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love the cake, even more so when it gets prime place away from fire exists, and when its been propped and dressed! It can be an amazing centre piece, I love candles and twinkly lights which add atmosphere. Be careful to keep things low on your tables as this can inhibit your photos later.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We like to meet all our couples, and don't take bookings without a consultation. Why? because we value the relationship we have with our brides and believe this adds to the customer experience. We don't hard sell ever, this is about are we the right fit for you and are you the right fit for us. Its a consultation, of ideas, inspirations with a glass of prossecco, while we explore the vision of your day. You get to look through our work, products etc.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Well you have all the standard, traditional photographs. But we personally love the sunset poses and photos. We want to make you feel the emotion and beauty of your day, through beautifully crafted photographs that we believe have a cinematic edge. This is a emotional story, and you are lead roles in it all.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
We will go as far as the bride and groom are willing to go, during a long day of non stop action. But the most original place I have photographed has to be on a barge going through Dudley canal. ( where peaky blinders was filmed) AWESOME!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Personalised wellies, transparent umbrellas, carefully considered outer wear ( which suits your day and theme)
