Henry Lowther- Photographer Full Description
‘Hello and welcome‘ is a little grand/formal for me- lets skip that. I’m based in Stallingborough, a Lincolnshire wedding photographer with a fine art approach. My biggest passion is photography so to be earning a living doing what I love is pretty special. I also love spending far too much money and time on my beautiful Mark 1 Golf, she’s a keeper though! Another passion of mine is food, in particular single glazed JD ribs. Im a father to 3 little humans (they are the best people I know, no offence) and also have a 4 year old cocker spaniel called Edith who literally melts my heart. Theres nothing more I’d love than to take a sunset stroll on the beach with my pup and some fish and chips (with curry sauce, obviously). How I work-I photograph in an unobtrusive and friendly way. I love to connect with people and finding the uniqueness in everyone is what drives my creativity. I’m definitely more of an observational photographer, I shoot what I see, but I also think its important to take some time for portraits of you as a couple- we can be creative and fun with these or keep them as relaxed as you like. This is one of the most important days of your lives and everything has to be just right. Im always willing to get involved with all your ideas, with a few giggles along the way.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Alex and Jenni's Prague wedding. We were already friends with us being photographers together. So much love, so much walking and a beautiful city backdrop!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, fine art, personal, documentary, considered

What about your business are you most proud of?

My ability to work with like minded and happy people. I guess attracting that audience is pretty special.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan ahead, your chosen suppliers will get booked up fast.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A beautiful couple transforming their family home into their wedding venue so as that kids were made to feel comfortable on the day. The groom wasn't the children's father and he wanted to fully unite them as a family.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

This varies a lot depending on what package you were to book. -We would almost always meet before bookings are made. -After you book we can talk or meet at anytime. -We meet before the wedding to finalise plans and timings for the day. -On the wedding day I keep everything nice and relaxed and work with you to create beautiful images.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A beautiful portrait of you both together. It sounds simple but its probably the photo that sums up your wedding day and that you will show people time again after the day.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

"An image that looks like we're in a perfume advert" and boy did it look great. A beautiful sunset across long grass and a Gatsby themed couple. It just worked so well.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Make use of your sheltered areas at the venue. Be brave and venture out under your brollies, we can still get amazing images.

Describe how you got into photography.

An interest in being able to document what I saw from a young age. I was fascinated by cameras and began saving for my first professional one while a secondary school.
