Greswolde Photography Limited Full Description
Im there to tell the story of your day; to capture all the key moments as well as some of the happenings that you would otherwise miss. I know that I do my best work and get the most natural pictures when people have forgotten I’m there, and that’s what I aim for. I’ll take time to meet with you and to get to know both of you before the big day, so that you’re at ease with what I’m doing, in advance. You can tell me what you’d like (and what you wouldn’t!) and I can make sure I work accordingly. On the day, I’ll be unobtrusive, dressed as a guest. It’s not my style to hold up the event for a myriad of posed photographs. (Of course, if you want group shots and portraits, I’ll ensure that they’re done, but without stealing precious time away from you and your guests). So, I’ll photograph the bride at home; later, the groom as he waits for her to arrive. I’ll capture the wedding service and immediately afterwards, as you greet your guests as newly-weds and they offer their joy and congratulations. I will follow as you move onto your venue, capturing events as they unfold, and recording interactions between you and your guests. At some stage, I’ll sneak the couple away for some portraits – if possible outside, at sunset. But I’ll have done my homework, and will know exactly where we’re going and what we’re doing, so you won’t be missing for long! Within a week, you will be able to see your edited gallery online, which you can share with your friends and family. You’ll then have the delightfully difficult task of selecting the photographs you’d like to include in your printed album, and the image you’d like to use for your thank you cards. Before you know it, your album will arrive, and you’ll experience the fabulous feeling of opening it up for the very first time. After that, how the rest of your story unfolds is up to you...

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Easy, Louise & rogers wedding on the shore of Lake Garda in Italy. It is difficult to describe how beautiful Italy is. As I was with the whole wedding party for a few days, we were all like one big family. I loved it.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Romantic, Elegant, Emotional, Cinematic, Timeless

What about your business are you most proud of?

Giving couples a wonderful collection of images that tell the story of their day that they can pass on to future generations. A bit cheesy I know but it is the main reason I am a wedding photographer.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Get on with your photographer. You will be with them for a large proportion of the day, it is as important as liking their images.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Jolene and Brad's wedding in Ireland, they had place names for the tables but instead of just a name, they had a photo of the guest taken some time ago with either the Bride, Groom or both which was special to the couple about the relationship with that guest.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I have covered this in more detail in my companies description but as key points - 1, Consultation to fine out what you are looking for, if I am a good fit and show you my work. 2, Three months before the wedding another consultation to go through all the timings for the day. 3, Within 1 week of the wedding you get access to your online gallery with all of the images from the day. 4, We work together to create the perfect album of your wedding.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I don't think there is any photo you 'must' take. Everything is individual.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I am very lucky that couples tend to book me for my style of imagery so it is quite rare that I get asked for a specific photo to be taken (other than groups)

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Go with it, there is nothing we can do to control the British weather. If its rainy then embrace it and make it a feature and not an obstacle. It is very rare for it to be raining all day so there is usually a time we can get out and stay dry.

Describe how you got into photography.

It's a very long story but to try and condense it into bullet points- I first picked up my dads film camera at 11 and was infatuated with photography straight away. It wasn't until my late teens that I started photographing nightclubs (way before anyone else had a digital camera) That led on to me being commissioned for the 2 largest dance festivals in the UK. When I started planning my wedding with my wife-to-be I found a passion for wedding photography.
