We covered a wedding where one of the guests pushed the mother of the bride down a flight of stairs and damaged her ankle. He was then frog marched off site through the whole wedding party in a very intense walk of shame, very funny looking back now.
fun, different, bespoke, creative, angles
Teamwork
Don't scrimp on the photographer, you can't look back on anything without them.
A groom had arranged for the brides son to arrive at the wedding without her knowing and give her away to him....he lives in Australia, tears everywhere.
A demo meeting first, followed by deposits paid then another final meeting 2 weeks before the wedding. Wedding done then i'll build the album and USB and invite the couple to my house to check off the album on my computer. Once thats done i'll deliver the album to the couple approx 4 to 6 weeks later.
Obviously the couple shot, but lately iv'e had comments about the big mass photo of everyone at the wedding because with the passage of time the picture becomes more priceless
A bride once got so drunk she couldn't do the 1st dance or even stand up, so she had to be carried off to her bridal room where the groom wanted me to take shots of her lying on the threshold of the doorway so he could remind her of her crazy behaviour the next day. He then put her to bed and went back to the party. Priceless.
Apart from the obvious of coats and umbrellas, a good contingency plan and wellies.
I liked art at school and messed about with a cheap camera i bought for a holiday and the more i used it the more i got into it until i got myself a decent camera and got asked to do my 1st wedding in 1986. I was hooked after that.
