grahame smout photography Full Description
I continually strive to keep my photography modern and upbeat with a mix of traditional and contemporary styles to suit whatever your after. I like to keep things as natural as possible with a fun element to the day. I can be there from bridal preps right up to the craziness of the night party. We will always find a little time to get some romantic shots in and i can edit and adjust for maximum impact in the album. I can design and build your album digitally and it won't go to press until you have checked it off and are happy for me to send it. All your pictures will be put on a USB, unmarked so you can print what you want for your friends/family. I can supply prints, canvasses, frames or multiple albums etc. The whole process from wedding day to receiving your album takes around 4 to 6 weeks. There are 3 packages on my website but they can all be altered to suit what your after so just get in touch and we can discuss your plans. If you want I can come to your house with a demo album so you can see what you'll be getting and get a feel for the professional top quality albums i supply.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

We covered a wedding where one of the guests pushed the mother of the bride down a flight of stairs and damaged her ankle. He was then frog marched off site through the whole wedding party in a very intense walk of shame, very funny looking back now.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

fun, different, bespoke, creative, angles

What about your business are you most proud of?

Teamwork

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't scrimp on the photographer, you can't look back on anything without them.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A groom had arranged for the brides son to arrive at the wedding without her knowing and give her away to him....he lives in Australia, tears everywhere.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

A demo meeting first, followed by deposits paid then another final meeting 2 weeks before the wedding. Wedding done then i'll build the album and USB and invite the couple to my house to check off the album on my computer. Once thats done i'll deliver the album to the couple approx 4 to 6 weeks later.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Obviously the couple shot, but lately iv'e had comments about the big mass photo of everyone at the wedding because with the passage of time the picture becomes more priceless

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A bride once got so drunk she couldn't do the 1st dance or even stand up, so she had to be carried off to her bridal room where the groom wanted me to take shots of her lying on the threshold of the doorway so he could remind her of her crazy behaviour the next day. He then put her to bed and went back to the party. Priceless.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Apart from the obvious of coats and umbrellas, a good contingency plan and wellies.

Describe how you got into photography.

I liked art at school and messed about with a cheap camera i bought for a holiday and the more i used it the more i got into it until i got myself a decent camera and got asked to do my 1st wedding in 1986. I was hooked after that.
