Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Probably the medieval themed wedding I shot in the Lake District - the bride rode to the church on a horse and the groom and best men all wore full suits of armour!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Artistic, relaxed, timeless, cinematic, documentary

What about your business are you most proud of?

Hearing that my work and the memories it evokes has made people cry with happiness - pretty amazing.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do what you want not what is expected of you by other people!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Individual gift bags for each guest with their photos on was pretty impressive.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I find out as much as possible about what the couple wants and what they like - then with that in mind I try as far as possible to blend into the background and simply capture the magical moments in the most stylish and meaningful way possible.

What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The confetti shot may be a cliché but it's always a winner in my book.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Probably the bride and groom taking their 'first bowl' at a vintage-style wedding in a bowling alley in Scarborough

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

I have some funky umbrellas!

Describe how you got into photography.

I first got into photography through a passion for the outdoors - landscape photography remains a passion of mine.
