A huge wedding in East Yorkshire. It was a marquee wedding next to a lake. The groom was Australian and the bride originally from Beverley. The guests were just wonderful and they were a big wow moment for the first dance when the marquee curtain were pulled back to reveal a woodland area lit by festoon lighting. It was very romantic but a laid back, fun filled wedding.
Real, fun, relaxed, emotive, and beautiful photography
The reviews I get from couple's that I made them and their guests feel so comfortable and I felt like a friend at their wedding.
Do it your way and plan early
I like to have a informal chat with couples before booking, to make sure we are a great fit to work together. Once we are happy to go forward, I require a small deposit, which mean I can't take on another booking. We meet for a free pre-wedding photo session to get to know each other and before the wedding you complete a form so I know the schedule and required formal photos. On the day, you do you and I'll capture it all.
Every wedding is unique, so this is dependant on the couple
My couple's have always trusted me to capture the day as it happens
Just go with it! You can't allow the weather to ruin your day. It never rains ALL day so they will be time to grab outdoor photos. I provide a pretty umbrella which you can cuddle under for an amazing backlit photo.
I took a photography and digital imaging course at uni and wanted to get into photojournalism from there. It wasn't until I helped a friend shoot a wedding as an assistant that I realised I could apply a reportage story telling approach to a wedding day.
