If you’re dreaming of a wedding album filled with genuine emotion and spontaneous joy, Gary Jude is the photographer for you. Based in South Ockendon, Essex, Gary specialises in a documentary and creative style that tells the authentic story of your wedding day. He focuses on the real, unscripted moments—the laughter, the tears, and those quiet glances you might otherwise miss.
Your wedding day is about celebrating with the people you love, and Gary understands that perfectly. He takes a discreet, natural approach—blending into the background so you and your guests feel completely at ease. Couples often praise his ability to be “here, there, and everywhere” without ever feeling intrusive. This means your photos capture the true spirit of your celebration as it naturally unfolds.
Gary’s philosophy is simple: your wedding is a party, not a photoshoot. He prioritises your experience, making sure you spend as much time as possible with your family and friends. Here’s what you can expect when you work with him:
Passionate about capturing people just being themselves, Gary delivers a stunning collection of photographs that preserve the beautiful memories of your wedding day for generations to come. Couples consistently describe his work as a heartfelt documentary, full of real moments and genuine emotion.
Ibiza 2019 was a wedding to remember. It was my first destination wedding and just an incredible experience.
Natural, reportage, documentary, candid, fun
I shot 35 weddings in my first year. I still can't believe how far I have come so quickly.
Always try to meet OR at least speak to the supplier via Skype or facetime. It is so important to get along and have the same values in life.
Any couple that make something that is personal to them even if it means going against tradition.
Meeting the couple via skype happens a lot these days. After that (if booked) i like to stay in contact with the couple regularly leading up to the big day. By the wedding, we will all get along so well and everyone will feel comfortable.
Just having 15 minutes away from the crazy wedding alone. This gives the couple some time to reflect on the day while i capture some beautiful natural portraits.
To still have the best day. It's just rain and there is nothing we can do. You can still have the best day and enjoy every second. Embrace the rain as you will get stunning, moody photos.
I first started shooting street photography & landscape photography as a hobby. I quickly became obsessed with capturing people in a moment when they did not even realise I had taken a photo. This then led me wanting to take this passion and skill into weddings. I now LOVE my job.
