Gareth Roy Photography Full Description
Capturing beautiful wedding photography for those couples in love who are looking for amazing timeless pictures to remember their special day. I love shooting weddings across the UK & abroad creatively capturing your moments on your day as it unfolds. Each couple has their own unique love story to tell & it's my job to capture your story through innovative photography. From capturing all the small details to the main event & all of the emotions, I will be there to capture it all. Starting from summer 2021 drone footage is also available allowing me to capture stunning images of you both around your venue from the sky above (Venue & weather permitting). You can not beat natural light, so that is why I only use it to capture your perfect day. I use a relaxed unintrusive approach to document the majority of your day as well as taking some stunning posed photos of just the two of you that really standout from the crowd.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding is different & has something special to offer. I think one of my most memorable weddings was one I captured in the Lake District in 2020. The Bride & Groom married in Penrith, but their reception was in Windermere. There were so many beautiful spots along the way from Ullswater right through to Windermere. We stopped with every opportunity to get some beautiful images from being by the lakes to the rolling hills, it was so amazing.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative Natural Luxury Adventurous Beautiful

What about your business are you most proud of?

Building my photography brand from scratch and capturing amazing timeless moments.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose the right photographer, you only get married once so make sure you choose someone you can not only get on with, but trust to capture your amazing day.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I try to be creative and unique with every wedding I shoot, I do love to add something different and think outside the box. I think every couple should have the pictures they dream about.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I like to incorporate the venues landscape into lots of my photos, one of them had a pond at the side and we timed it right to capture the sun setting and reflecting in the pond creating some beautiful light for their images.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Taking advantage of the rain to get some amazing creative shots, after all every wedding is different.

Describe how you got into photography.

My dad was very passionate about photography so I never far away from a camera growing up. Every opportunity my dad would shoot away with his cameras and taught me how to use it. Like my dad I had a passion & a keen eye for it. I love landscape photography & incorporating beautiful landscapes in with my shoots whether it be a wedding or an engagement shoot. My creative side comes out in me when I'm shooting and always looking for something different to add.
