Truly, If you need a photographer go no where else

Kelsey did an incredible job on our wedding! Especially throughout the middle of the pandemic! Plenty of zoom calls to truly find out as much info as possible always showing care and attention to detail, and on the big day was a huge help and highly organised and professional! He even helped catch our escaped dog on the wedding morning! His eye for photos was unmatched and he truly captured all the big moments of the day perfectly! He helped create some amazing photos using sparklers which really was outstanding. He loved and was passionate about our theme too which was Studio Ghibli! Post wedding he helped us sort out an amazing wedding book with plenty of photos which we will treasure forever! Truly if you need a wedding photographer, go no where else but with Kelsey at Frozen Shutter!

The snaps produced were the perfect mix of beautiful- traditional and quirky-cool. Honestly couldn’t ask for more than we received

“Kelsey was nothing short of amazing! We were very specific about the kind of photographs we wanted and those we didn’t, and he captured exactly that. He spent hours capturing every last detail of the venue and the event. The snaps produced were the perfect mix of beautiful- traditional and quirky-cool. Honestly couldn’t ask for more than we received.”

Frozen Shutter was without a doubt the best photographer we could have hoped for

“Frozen Shutter was without a doubt the best photographer we could have hoped for. He was ever present throughout the day and captured everything perfectly. His use of lighting and bubbly atmosphere helped create perfectly real photographs which made many of us cry with their beauty. He captured the themes of the wedding in every photo and in the physical album.”

The outcome is amazing, the photographs fabulous

Kelsey did a fantastic job of capturing the quiet intimacy of our day. Every detail was there and looking through the photographs today I was able to relive it. Kelsey listened to all my ideas for the day and made me feel totally at ease. The outcome is amazing, the photographs fabulous and I'm sure eventually I will be able to look through them without crying.

Such an amazing job both during and after.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your professional calm and friendly approach to our special day. The photos you captured of our wedding day were both unique and depicted the story of the day which is so important as sometimes those special moments go by so quickly for the bride and groom . I look forward to sharing our memories with our nearest and dearest and can't hank you enough for doing such an amazing job both during and after the wedding .

The end result was amazing.

Kelsey was the photographer for our wedding in May 2014, he was great on the day ensuring he got lots of natural shots like we wanted as well as all the usual posed shots after the ceremony (like group shot etc). His presence and manner with us and guests was also great, no pressure but still got what we wanted photograph wise. He came and met with us before the wedding and made note of all the important things to us that we wanted capturing. The end result was amazing, we have lots of beautiful photographs of our day which were edited to a lovely finish and a nice mixture of colour and black and white. Also love the creative photographs that he took. Thank you Kelsey. Would definitely recommend.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

A small ceremony in the Lake District where the Bride & Groom got their walking boots on after getting married and hiking with them to a waterfall and rambling down! I even waded into the water to get the best shot :)

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Candid, Reportage, Stylish, non traditional & fun.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't over plan and make too many lists. Going overboard is easy and it can get stressful to keep track of everything!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I try to be as relaxed as possible, both before the day and during. I am there not only to photograph your day but provide my experience and help wherever I can!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

If you have a veil then some nice sunset shots under it are some of my favourite. Otherwise a stylish night time shoot in the dark looks really striking!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

The most original ones I do are by the creative use of lighting and combining that with prisms for some really dramatic effects!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Party games always go down well if you think it might be raining on the day.

Describe how you got into photography.

It started as a hobby in university and grew into something more. I had a chance early on to be the official photographer for the Great Dorset Steam Fair and that sealed the deal. My break into wedding photography was through a colleague who was getting married for the 2nd time at an amazing wedding venue but wasn't sure on a photographer and offered to let me do it for her. Almost 10 years later and I'm still going and love every one!
