Fresh Photography Ltd Full Description
Our mixture of styles is unique. We focus on shooting candid, documentary style images to capture real, natural moments whilst adding elements of fine art photography for the details and fashion-influenced editorial photography for the beautiful album centrepiece shots of our couples. Throw in a few formal family shots and we believe we have the formula for images that will stand the test of time for generations to come, not just until the next big trend in wedding photography comes along. We capture the essence of a wedding, without resorting to excessive photo manipulation, without false smiles and forced poses, capturing the action as it happens whilst fitting in like a guest and telling the story of the whole day.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

WAY too many funny moments to list them all. I've had naked groomsmen, a toboggan, a literal shotgun wedding, an eagle owl 'making a mess' on the brides dress, a runaway bus and everybody going in the pool at the end of the night, fully clothed.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Relaxed, contemporary, candid, imaginative, daring

What about your business are you most proud of?

The referrals. Having people refer me to their friends time and time again and seeing the same faces at weddings over and over means I must be doing something right! Also, when couples fly me overseas to shoot their wedding. I live in the UK, so for someone to think enough of what I do to fly me all the way to New Zealand, Tuscany or Malta (among other places!) to shoot their day for them is both humbling and massively flattering. There's no shortage of wedding photographers anywhere in the world so for them to specifically include me as a part of their day is incredible.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book early! So many people seem to be leaving things until the last minute recently and we hate to disappoint!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The blind son of a groomsman who was about 7 was led down the aisle by his 4 year old sister. The groom thought he'd be getting led down at the back of the bridal procession but he led them all with his sister. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Also, the time a stepson surprised his mum and step-dad by presenting him with official adoption papers mid-way through the speeches. Again-A LOT of tears of happiness there!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

There's no single photo. Just make sure you book a photographer that can tell a story. If you end up with a random bunch of shots that look nice but mean nothing then it's a wasted opportunity. Get someone who can capture the emotions of everything that's happening!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

A full boudoir shoot on the morning of the wedding to be presented to the groom the next day. Also, hanging out of the side of the helicopter to shoot the group shot. We had to go past fairly quickly, because if we stopped to hover t the front of the venues everyone's hair was all over the place and hats were flying about, so we had to do six runs. Great fun! :)

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Grabbing some brollies and getting out there! It's literally just a bit of rain-Don't let it spoil your day!

Describe how you got into photography.

I've been photographing from a really young age, but really got the bug for it over a decade ago when I realised that- A: I'm good at it, and-B: I love being around people on what is one of the happiest days of their lives. There really isn't a better way to make a living, and I have a genuine passion and joy for what I do.
