What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The flowers can be quite a personal touch if the bride loves flowers and goes all out on decorating the reception room with them!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It usually starts with an email enquiry followed by a face to face meeting, usually at the pub! In keeping with my natural photography style, I like to keep it informal and not intimidating! During the meeting, we'll discuss all aspects of the day itself and how I work. I usually recommend a pre wedding photography shoot as it's a fabulous opportunity to get to know each other and make sure you're relaxed in front of the camera on the big day! I'll then photograph the wedding, obviously, and the couple will normally receive their photos on USB about 6 - 8 weeks after the wedding!
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I don't think there is a #1 photo you can take, I think it's just important to get a nice mix of everything! The confetti shot is always lovely though!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
One bride asked me to take a photo of her breastfeeding her son which was 'original' and turned out to be lovely!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
You can't beat natural light, get outside with an umbrella!
Describe how you got into photography.
I started off in Fashion Photography in Australia and since coming home to Wales, I have built the business predominantly around weddings. I love what I do and pride myself on taking natural photographs as well as capturing all the details that make the day so special and unique to each couple.
