Great photographs of our wedding were top of our list when we started planning and Frances did a fabulous job capturing our day! We feel so lucky that she was our photographer - she supported us from first meeting to choosing our pictures for our album, was an absolute joy to have there on the day and produced the most beautiful images.
We were worried about finding a photographer. We thought it would be a headache as my husband has a passion for photography coupled with exacting standards! He's also much more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it.
I met Frances at a wedding fair and I thought her work was natural, fresh and beautiful, just what we were looking for. When we all met together in a pub to discuss our day, it was extremely relaxed and felt like we were catching up with an old friend. Having seen her work and met her in person together, we were confident she would do an excellent job and were excited to work with her.
We had a nervous energy in the run up to our engagement shoot as we had never done anything like it before. We were really happy with the locations suggested by Frances and she helped us prepare for them by providing honest and helpful advice which we really valued. Throughout the shoot, we became increasingly relaxed posing together for the camera. Frances knows what she is looking for in a picture and will very gently encourage you to be yourself to get the best shots. We had such a fun time and it put our minds at rest for the main event.
Frances was excellent and keeping in touch and was very prompt in sharing images with us. It was great having everything organised online so it was less paperwork to lose in the stack we were accruing!
On the day, she was brilliant. She's very calm, relaxed and efficient. We had fun getting ready with her taking pictures and everyone felt completely at ease, she even helped me into my ridiculously high heels when everyone else was getting ready!
We loved the variety and balance of shots she took - we had a shortlist of 'must haves' but our favourite shots are those little moments throughout the day which we didn't necessarily notice at the time! She blended in and captured some incredibly special moments. We also love the details Frances picked out from photographing my dress, shoes and flowers, to my husband's outfit and antique camera he was using. Our couple shots are intimate, creative and capture us both at our best.
Frances sent us some sneak peak piccies while we were on honeymoon which was a wonderful surprise and were promptly shared with our parents. We thoroughly enjoyed going through all the images with Frances once we were back and found it hard to choose which to go in the album! We got there in the end, together, and we love the quality of the album and the memories it contains!
All in all, it was the most stress-free part of our wedding and that is very much down to Frances' approach. She's a great communicator, very friendly and mindful of what you are looking for, and extremely talented. We'd choose her again in a heartbeat and would certainly recommend her services to our friends and family.
