What is your most memorable wedding?
My own!! (I have to say that, my wife wouldn't be happy otherwise)...
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Cinematic, relaxed, artistic, candid, natural.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Honestly, my customer service. I'm confident in my photos, of course, but I absolutely LOVE helping couples out in any way that I can. Providing a wedding guide beforehand, flexibility with booking options, being available for my couples, and giving the BEST service on the wedding day are all parts of what make Folkstorie special.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be selfish. It's the only time you'll hear me say that!! The wedding day is yours, YOU are the main characters. So make it personal, make it special to you, and don't let anyone get in your way! ;)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Home-made wedding rings. Phenomenal.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First off, we'll have a chat to make sure we're a great fit! I want to be able to serve all my couples to the best of my ability, so we need to make sure that we'll get along.
If you're keen, we'll get you booked in and secure your date!! At this point I'll send you my Wedding Guide. It gives you everything you need to know about my style and what to expect from the exciting journey ahead, plus a bunch of super helpful planning information and tips!
I'll be sure to check in with you leading up to the wedding and get all the information I need so everything runs smoothly.
You don't need to worry about a thing, I'll keep you up-to-date and sort everything on my end!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A cuddle. Sounds simple, maybe a bit silly right? Trust me, doing something as natural as a cuddle makes for a great photo. You'll be comfortable, and wrapped up in each other. I promise this will be beautiful.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The 'under the veil' shot. Absolutely love it.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A good mood!! For obvious reasons, rain can put a dampener (pun intended) on your wedding day - but it doesn't have to! The best thing you can do is to stay positive and stick to your plans, even if that means getting soggy... If you've got wellies and an umbrella, even better! Rainy shots can be absolutely stunning, so let's do it!
Describe how you got into photography.
My sister in law has been in the industry for 10+ years and is simply a brilliant artist. She took me on after I finished university and trained me up, I owe her pretty much everything. Since then I've built my own business from the ground up and I'm so proud of the service and product that I provide!
