What is your most memorable wedding?
Without sounding too cheesy, every wedding I photograph leaves a special mark on me. Each couple brings their own spark, and it’s such a joy to be part of that. That said, one that really stands out was a two-day celebration in Tuscany. The couple blended Indian and British traditions with so much love, colour, and joy. There was epic dancing, heartfelt moments, incredible scenery, and the bride wore the most stunning Oscar de la Renta dress. It was visually breathtaking but still so relaxed and personal. An unforgettable experience!

What about your business are you most proud of?
My couples often mention that working with me is like having an extra friend there, and that honestly means the world. For me, it's not just about beautiful photos, it’s about creating a calm, fun, and supportive experience from start to finish.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Stay true to yourselves. Whether you're planning a big celebration or a tiny elopement, make it about you. The best weddings are the ones that reflect who you are as a couple.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Recently, I photographed a wedding where the bride and groom had written personalised notes to every guest and them on their place setting when they sat down. It was amazing! They also used their family pets over the years as the table names, complete with photos. So sweet!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It’s relaxed and personal. We start with a friendly chat to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. From there, I guide you through the process with advice and gentle planning tips to make sure you feel supported. On the day, I blend into the background to capture all the real moments—with just enough guidance to help you feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera.
What is the No.1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A quiet moment just the two of you - whether that’s a first look, a walk through the gardens, or a breather during golden hour. Those in-between moments often become the most cherished images. What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Every wedding I photograph is unique so I find this question hard to answer!Perhaps the most unique experience was when I hopped onto a speedboat with the couple and the boat had been featured in a Bond movie! That was very cool.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Whilst some may declare it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day, I know you might not feel the same way, so here’s what you can do. Describe how you got into photography.
I’ve always been creative, and photography first captured my heart when I “borrowed” my dad’s old film camera as a teenager. I learned to shoot, develop film, and print my own photos at school - it was pure magic. After studying Graphic Design, I spent years travelling the world as a photographic art director, working on fashion and lifestyle shoots. That love for people, storytelling and beautiful light led me back behind the camera and in 2009, Fiona Kelly Photography was born. Since then, I’ve photographed over 350 weddings, including elopements and proposals, and I still feel incredibly lucky to do this work.
