Fertography Full Description
In 2014, I established my photography business, FERTOGRAPHY. I specialise in capturing a beautiful, natural and creative collection of images to document one of the most important events in your life - your wedding day! My passion is to create a photographic journey of the day, ranging from the little informal moments to the important exchange of vows and a stunning set of portraits. Every time you look at your photographs, you will be transported back to your special day and you can enjoy reliving it again and again. I offer a Wedding Photography Package, which includes the following: - Complimentary Pre-Wedding or Engagement Photo Session This is a great opportunity to get to know each other and to discuss your photo ideas before the big day. It is an informal photo session, which usually takes place outdoors (weather permitting!) at a location of your choice that means something special to you. This helps us to capture a set of lovely, natural images. The photo session usually lasts for around 90 minutes, and you will receive the high-resolution images on a DVD, as well as having access to a private online gallery to view the images. Prints, photobooks and canvases are available to purchase on request. - Full Coverage of your Wedding Day This is inclusive of time spent getting ready before the ceremony, right up until one hour after the last scheduled event. - All the images from your Wedding Day on a personalised USB drive with a gift box - Access to your own Private Online Gallery, which can be shared with family and friends Optional Extras include: - A Premium 13"x11" Landscape Photobook up to 100 pages (with additional pages available at an extra cost) - Photo, canvas and photo book printing - Design of personalised ‘Save the Date’ cards - Polaroid photography - Analogue film photography - Additional hours available at an additional cost

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, Romantic, Classic, Creative & Relaxed

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being a wedding photographer is a very personal job. It is a huge honour to be invited to join you on your special day and to document it using photographs that you and your family and friends will look back on and enjoy for many years to come. There is a huge sense of pride that comes when couples select me as their wedding photographer, and I am proud to be able to offer a professional service with a friendly touch.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy the experience! It is very easy to get weighed down by the sheer amount of things that need to be done in the lead up to a wedding, but just remember that at the end of the day, it is an opportunity for you to declare and celebrate your love for each other, surrounded by your nearest and dearest. Make lists early on so that you are not worried about forgetting any thing, leave plenty of time when making bookings and make the day personal to you.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

The first step is to arrange a meeting. The first consultation gives the couple a chance to meet me and share their ideas of how they would like their wedding day to be photographed. I usually bring along a portfolio of wedding photographs to demonstrate my style of photography and to talk about what is included in the standard price, as well as the optional extras. After the initial consultation, if the couple decides that they would like to book, I take a deposit and arrange a date for the Pre-Wedding photoshoot. This gives the couple the opportunity to see how I work in a real-life context prior to the wedding, and to have some images that can be used for Save the Date cards and/or wedding invitations. It also gives us a further opportunity to get to know each other and to discuss plans for the wedding day. In the run up to the wedding day, we will also arrange another meeting, ideally at the wedding venue, to see if there are any particular locations that you would like to have photographed and to finalise plans for timings and specific formal photograph requests. I will contact you again about a week prior to the wedding just to make sure that these details are still correct. On the day itself, I will arrive at a time agreed in the previous meetings and stay nearby throughout the day to ensure that all of the special moments are captured and can be enjoyed forever.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

In the summer of 2016, I was invited to photograph a wedding in Paris. After a gorgeous wedding day, I had the opportunity to drive around Paris with the bride and groom to take some pictures with some of the iconic landmarks of the city. We got some beautiful shots with the Eiffel Tower in the background, but my favourite is a photograph with the couple standing in front of the Arc de Triomphe, in the middle of two lanes of traffic, looking happily at one another and completely oblivious to the rest of the world flying past! This photo can be viewed in the picture gallery.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

First step - do not panic! We always arrange to visit the venue a couple of times before the wedding day to find exciting locations for photographs to be taken, come rain or shine. It is a good idea to talk to people working at the venue or the wedding co-ordinator to see if they have any suggestions of locations for rainy day photographs. They will have seen weddings take place in all sorts of weather conditions, so they may have some good ideas of places that are ideal to use in these situations.

Describe how you got into photography.

I was born into a family of keen photographers. I grew up seeing my grandfather taking photographs and videos at every available opportunity. I found the whole process exciting and it quickly became a passion of mine. My father was also an avid photographer, and it was he that presented me with my first camera at the age of twenty three. From there, my love of photography grew from strength to strength and I have enjoyed seeing the different effects that I can create using both digital and film cameras. I soon realised that photography was a way of life for me and began working professionally in 2013. I was lucky enough to work in the Canary Islands as a family and portrait photographer for a year, before moving back to the UK and establishing my own photography business in 2014.
