Evandro Photography

We booked Evandro for our wedding this year and I cannot speak highly enough about him! Not only are the photos absolutely stunning, he delivered the best service possible all the way from the first enquiry meeting where we chatted via zoom through to the end of the wedding day and beyond until the point we received our photos. He stayed way past when he was due to making sure to capture enough of the evening and was really thorough throughout the whole day making sure he captured every moment and every guest the best he could. He was amazing with the children we had and went above and beyond to make everyone feel really comfortable for the whole day. When we went off to have our bride and groom photos he made something that could have been quite tedious a lot of fun and brought a few tricks for getting some amazing photos as well (even putting his life on the life to get into position to get the best angles!!). He worked incredibly well with our videographer as well to create really special moments for us to look back on even though they only met on the morning of our wedding! For any event in the future that requires a photographer I will absolutely be going back to Evandro and recommending him to everyone I possibly can!

We got married here on 15/04/24 and I have been trying to come to terms with everything that happened before writing this review. I have been apprehensive to leave this review after already being threatened by the company director after my mum left a review but I feel I need to share so people are aware of what they are booking and can avoid the disappointment I felt. I will start by saying that Gema was fantastic throughout and on the day the venue looked beautiful and the food was amazing. Those are the only positives I can say and a massive part of the venue looking good was us paying an additional £1000 for fairy lights that are already set up to be turned on and the amazing job done by our florist who is not affiliated with the venue. Every price quoted by the venue is NOT including VAT. This might be common knowledge to a lot of people but we had no idea where to start when arranging a wedding and this was a bit of a shock when we started getting the bills through. We were also told that we could book rooms the night before the wedding and if we booked 10+ and had a total of 20 guests they would arrange a dinner for us. After we had booked these non-refundable rooms at a higher price than originally quoted to us and over £100 more than other hotels in the area per night, we were then told in order for them to put on the dinner it would be an additional £900 for the room hire with a £35-45 per head cost for a buffet. This seemed absurd to me as it is not a hotel open to the public and we were the only guests staying there, they would have only needed to open up a room as the dinner they were serving was a buffet. Extortionate price to try and exploit from someone in my opinion. This however did mean that we were still bound to stay in the hotel the night before the wedding. The rooms were extremely cold and the heating was not turned on for us even after asking which caused some of our guests to have to sleep in their clothes. This was the same on the night of the wedding. We had also asked about slip mats for the showers as there were no grab rails and they became very slippery. We were told by the person on reception they won't be supplying them and we should try Poundland instead. The next morning the worst then happened and my father (father of the bride) had a fall in the shower and attempted to catch himself on the only thing around which was a glass shower curtain. This fell down on top of him and completely shattered showing that the venue does not adhere to health and safety rules as these screens should have been shatterproof. When questioned about the validity of their health and safety measures by one of our guests who works in the industry we were told they are not a hotel, they are a privately licenced venue, and therefore do not have to adhere to this. My mum had written a review about her experience as this was extremely traumatic for both my parents and subsequently whilst waiting to board a plane for my honeymoon (which the venue knew about as they had emailed me asking to discuss the review and I told them I wasn't available for a couple of weeks) I then had a threatening email from the company director Geraldine Lupton who said if my mum did not take down her review she would be taking legal action against me. She also spoke to my mum and brother in law over the phone where she screamed and shouted at them telling them she would get the reviews taken down herself and saying to my mum that she was "all about money" whilst also being extremely derogatory and condescending about my dad making fun of him and saying how horrible it was for her staff to have to help him. I am absolutely devastated as to how my wedding turned out and as much as I was able to marry the love of my life I do not have fond memories of this day or from the start of my honeymoon as Geraldine ruined this as well. I could never recommend this venue to anyone at all. There are far cheaper options available that will deliver a hugely better service and will be on par if not better when it comes to food and the venue itself. I will just add to finish this off that Geraldine was successful in removing my mums review and she was contacted to say that most sites only accept reviews left from the bride and groom which is why I feel I must also leave my own review. This will also help to explain why most reviews are positive about this venue.

Evandro turned up whilst myself and the bridesmaids were getting ready. He was great at putting my teenage daughters at ease and got some great shots! Throughout the day he was so discreet I almost forgot he was there. He listened to what we wanted, didn’t rush , and we had some fun. We are thrilled with the beautiful photos we’ve recieved. We couldn’t recommend Evandro enough!

Evandro was a brilliant photographer - he stayed pretty much to the end of our wedding and took snaps of every part of it. Our photos are beautiful and I'm so glad he made such an effort to get so many different photos of us! Highly recommend.

Evandro was more than a photografer to us. He helped us with details about the weeding, giving so much valuable tips, since it was our first time getting married we did not know so many things about it. It seems that he does this for ages. All my guest were amazed by his friendly approach to everybody, I felt he was already part of the family. We got married at Hartsfield Manor and it was his first time there, however he seemed vert confortable and flexible like he knew the place before. Evandro was very flexible to our requests, he made a fantastic job and we are so grateful for his presence in our special day. I will definetly hire him again in another occasion. Thank you Evandro. Words are not enough :) Loved his style, perspective and we can see he loves what it does which it makes him unique.

Evandro was fab from start to finish, we can highly recommend him! From the first conversation to our photos being delivered nothing was too much for him. He is just the most friendly, lovely and happiest person - Just what you want for your special occasion! Our wedding pictures are just amazing - He made sure everything was perfect on the day, even down to the tiniest of details to ensure our pictures were just what we wanted, thankyou so much Evandro!
