Hi, I’m Emma – a North West-based documentary wedding photographer with a love for storytelling through natural, candid imagery.
I specialise in capturing your day exactly as it unfolds – the real moments, the raw emotion, the laughter and little details that make your wedding truly yours. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, allowing you and your guests to enjoy every second while I quietly document it all.
Every couple is different, and I always tailor my service to reflect your unique personalities and plans. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a big party, I’m here to capture it beautifully.
I absolutely love weddings and everything that goes into making your day your way. Let’s have a chat – I offer a free, no-obligation consultation and would love to hear about your plans!
One of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever photographed was also one of the smallest — with fewer than 20 guests. Despite its size, the day was overflowing with laughter, light, and love. Every moment was filled with genuine warmth and care for the newlywed couple, making it truly unforgettable.
efficient, documentary, emotive, classical, timeless
What I’m most proud of in my business is the trust my couples place in me to capture one of the most important days of their lives, in a way that feels true to them.
Knowing that my unobtrusive, documentary approach helps people feel relaxed and genuinely seen is incredibly rewarding. I’m proud that my images often bring back real emotions — not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
Every wedding is different, and being chosen to tell each unique story is something I never take for granted.
My number one tip for planning a wedding? Make sure it feels like your day — not anyone else’s.
There’s so much advice out there, and it’s easy to get swept up in expectations. But the most meaningful weddings I’ve photographed are the ones where the couple stayed true to themselves — whether that meant a big celebration or an intimate gathering. Choose the things that genuinely matter to you, and let go of the rest. You’ll enjoy the day so much more, and your photos will reflect the love and joy that come naturally when you're truly yourselves.
At a recent wedding, I captured two grooms using their recently departed cat's toy as a 'knot' that they tied around their hands. I was so touched that they incorporated that in their special day.
I like to keep things simple, stress-free, and tailored to you.
It all starts with a friendly consultation call. This is where we get to know each other and make sure I’m the right fit for your day. I’ll ask about your vision, what matters most to you, and how you'd like your wedding to be captured — whether that’s totally natural, a little posed, or a mix of both.
About six weeks before your wedding, we’ll have a final planning call. This is where we go over the timeline and all the key details, so I can take thorough notes and be fully prepared. I always ask for a main point of contact on the day (usually the Maid of Honour or Mother of the Bride) so you’re not being pulled in different directions — you should be enjoying every moment, not answering questions!
On the day itself, I usually arrive in time for bridal prep. I try to blend into the background and become a “fly on the wall,” quietly capturing those special, natural moments as they happen. My goal is to photograph your day exactly the way you want it remembered — with care, authenticity, and heart.
The number one photo I think every couple should take? One where you forget the camera is even there.
It doesn’t have to be posed or perfect — just a quiet moment between the two of you, being yourselves. Whether that’s a shared laugh, a hug after the ceremony, or a quick glance across the room — those are the images that hold real emotion and bring the day flooding back every time you look at them.
Those in-between moments are often the most powerful ones.
a wet knot can't be untied! It rained on my own wedding day and it genuinely didn't bother me, I was so caught up in the magic of it all. We are british after all, what's a little bit of rain as long as you've got an umbrella?
I've loved it for years, I started out as a newborn photographer and was asked to shoot a wedding for a family member, from that day on I was hooked!
