FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

All my weddings are memorable as it's the people who choose me and relationships that are built that make it that way. I have enjoyed every wedding I have been fortunate enough to capture.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, fresh, friendly, relaxed and considerate.

What about your business are you most proud of?

The friends I've made.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure you really get along with your photographer. I think it is so important to all be on the same page but don't be afraid to be honest with yourself. If they're not for you, that's okay. There is someone out there who is.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A recent bride enlisted family members to make a disney themed photo booth backdrop and props for their reception. It was genius, very effective and very personal to the couple.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

My process starts with a conversation usually in person with portfolios to demonstrate my style but can be over the phone. Venues, colour schemes, members of the bridal party and parents of the bride and groom are discussed along with any specific arrangements and photos my couple want. After which, a contact form is filled out and a deposit can be taken if the couple are ready to make a decision. If not, they will receive first refusal if another booking comes in. Once booked, I am always at the end of the phone or email should any questions arise and a month before the wedding, I will visit the venue with the couple in order to discuss any finer details.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A photo of the couple on their own with their venue or favourite spot in the background. I think it's important to capture why you chose your venue.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

In St Lucia, the couple asked for some fun beach shots. In her wedding dress, the bride was happy wading through the water!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

A plan B and plenty of umbrellas. I think it's important to have an idea as to where you want your group shots taken in anticipation of rain.

Describe how you got into photography.

After work experience with my uncle, I fell in love with the art form and the ability to capture a moment in time. People are my passion so wedding and portrait photography makes sense to me.
