Planning your wedding is all about capturing the moments that truly matter—the laughter, the tears, and the little details that make your day uniquely yours. Emily Edgar is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Lewes, East Sussex, who specializes in just that. With a background in documentary filmmaking, Emily brings a warm, honest storytelling style to her photography. She focuses on those quiet, fleeting moments to create images that genuinely reflect your love story. Her goal is to capture everything from the big emotions to the subtle details, crafting a timeless collection of memories you’ll cherish forever.
Emily’s photography is all about authenticity. With over a decade of experience—and nearly seven years dedicated professionally to weddings and portraits—she knows how to create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. This helps couples feel natural and confident in front of the camera, so the photos truly capture who you are and the joy of your day.
Emily combines the best of both worlds by blending digital and film photography. This hybrid approach gives your wedding photos a unique, textured quality. Digital images provide quick sneak peeks, while film adds a rich, timeless magic that lasts. Starting in 2025, every wedding package will include the option to have your day captured on film alongside digital, offering a beautiful and lasting aesthetic.
Emily’s wedding photography packages are designed with flexibility and your needs in mind. Here’s what you can look forward to:

I've studied photography since school age! I've always loved photography so I can't really explain how I "got into" photography. But I studied further by doing A-Level in Photography and then also completed my Media Production BA degree in 2019.
