What is your most memorable wedding?
Walking around Chester Zoo with my newly married happy couple taking photos with penguins and giraffes!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Colourful, emotional, joyful, candid, documentary
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my approach to my couples, I am not a business first kind of person and my couples often comment on feeling like they have had a friend with them all day which puts them at ease.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Hire people that you trust so that you can tick off that thing on your to do list knowing they are taking care of their little slice of your big day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There are so many! that is what makes me love this job so so much. I particularly enjoyed a bubble attack from the happy couples children in lieu of a confetti toss!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will message with you to confirm availability and location but I will try to book you in for a phone call as early as possible so that we can really get to know each other and I can hear all about your plans. Once you have decided to go ahead I will send out a contract and take your 20% deposit to make your booking official! I am then available to you for questions, check ins, etc and I will be back in touch with you around 8 weeks before your wedding to go through any changes since our original booking and to make sure I have all of my details up to date and then 6 weeks before your wedding will be your final balance due date. I will arrive at our agreed time on your big day and introduce myself, then I will get to work straight away being respectfully out of the way and capturing the love and laughs that happen naturally throughout your day. I will send some sneak peeks the following day if I am able to and then your full gallery will be edited and delivered within 8 weeks. You can then choose your photos for printing and for your hard backed photo album if that is part of your package!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I always try to get a wide shot of the couple in front of the venue, I love the "dip and kiss" pose for this!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I had an amazing time hiking up to the top of a mountain with one of my couples for some amazing photos!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
try to enjoy it! buy aesthetic brollies!! some of the best photos are couples dancing in the rain.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have been interested in photography since I bought my first DSLR with my birthday money at 18 and started a photography and fine art college course. I then put photography aside writing it off as a hobby when I found out I was pregnant a few months later! Then at the age of 31 I realised I wanted a career to be proud of and set to work finding my passion and here we are! Wedding photography gives me the greatest job satisfaction I have ever experienced. It is such a genuine pleasure to join you on your most special day!
