I’m Emilie, a documentary wedding photographer based in Cheshire, capturing weddings across the UK for couples who care more about how their day feels.
My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and story-led. I focus on the in-between moments, the quiet glances, the laughter, the happy tears, and the fleeting interactions that often go unnoticed. Rather than directing or staging your day, I allow it to unfold naturally, documenting it honestly and beautifully as it happens.

How far in advance should we book you?
As early as you can, especially for peak dates. Many couples book 12–18 months ahead. If your wedding is sooner, still get in touch, sometimes I have availability due to date changes.
How would you describe your photography style?
My approach is documentary-led; I focus on real moments, strong storytelling, and beautiful light rather than staged or forced poses. You’ll get images that feel natural, emotional, and timeless. Not overly curated.
Do you do group photos?
Yes, absolutely. If you’d like group photos, we’ll keep them organised and efficient. I’ll help you plan a short list in advance so it doesn’t take over your drinks reception. Think quick, calm, and done, not a 40-minute photo marathon.
Do you travel?
Yes. I’m based in Altrincham and photograph weddings across Cheshire, the North West and beyond.
Travel is included within 25 miles of WA14. For weddings beyond this, travel is charged at 45p per mile (round trip).
We’re not great in front of the camera, will you help us?
Absolutely. Most of my couples say this. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but my priority is helping you feel relaxed and comfortable so moments unfold naturally. You won’t be asked to “perform” or pose constantly.
What experience do you have photographing weddings?
I’m an experienced wedding photographer who specialises in telling complete wedding stories, from quiet, emotional moments to big celebrations. I work confidently in all lighting conditions and timelines, so you can relax knowing nothing important will be missed.
How do we know if we’re the right fit?

Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding shoots?
Yes. Pre-wedding shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and understand how I work before the wedding day. Many couples find it helps them feel more relaxed and confident when it really matters.
How do you work with other suppliers on the day?
I work collaboratively and discreetly alongside your planner and other suppliers to keep the day flowing smoothly. My approach is calm and unobtrusive, allowing events to unfold naturally while ensuring key moments are beautifully documented.
Can we make specific photo requests?
Of course. I’m always happy to note meaningful people or moments that matter to you.
