My most memorable wedding is...my own! I had 14 months to plan our wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better day.
Classic, Detailed, Engaging, Relaxed, Timeless
I am most proud of the relationships that I form with my clients, they are like friends to me.
Don't leave things to the last minute! Do as much as you can as early as you can, it really takes the stress off on the big day.
Most clients email asking for information. From there I usually set up a quick telephone conversation to discuss the clients needs and advise them on options for collections and products. Once they decide to book, I draft an agreement for them to sign, with that and a deposit, their date is then secured. In the time between booking and their wedding I am in touch to check in and see how things are progressing and to see if I can help at all. There are wedding tips on my blog that may be of use too. A couple of months before the wedding, we have an in person client meeting (if possible) so I can get all the details of timings and plans for the day. I shoot the wedding, then afterwards I begin the editing!

I think a bride & groom in a golf cart!
If you have a venue with an amazing interior, that helps. If not then allowing just a few minutes for shots outside, even if it's raining is great. Umbrellas work well at keeping hair and make up dry. I have had a few brides that are so pleased they decided to take the plunge!
I got my first DSLR for my birthday. I enjoyed learning about how to use it at college. A friend asked me to shoot his daughter's wedding, which I initially declined. I did however ask a friend (who was a wedding photographer) if I could shadow him for a couple of weddings. I ended up second shooting for him a couple of years before setting up my own business. And I did do my friend's daughter's wedding...and it went well!
