Get in early, be-it photographers or venues etc...you need to get what you want as soon as you can.
After my couple have booked, I always offer them a FREE pre-wedding photoshoot.
Nearer the date, we have a sit down and a chat so they can tell me what they want me to do on the day. Its THEIR day, not mine.
The couple on their own.

Plan B.
Always have a plan B.
Ideally have a venue that is just as nice inside as it is outside.
Hotel rooms that can be used for family portraits etc. would be perfect.
If feeling adventurous, an umbrella and having portraits in a shower look amazing.

I've been very lucky that my hobby has become my career.
