First of all congratulations! Let’s talk about your wedding.
Photography is a hugely important part of your wedding day experience, we are often the second or third thing people book. So therefore, first and foremost you want to know your day is going to be captured comprehensively. Well, as part of our full package we always have two photographers, this is something I have always done since I started way back in 2008. This means that both of you can have your own wedding preparations captured. No need for anyone to miss out, or for me to have to frantically drive at between places. It also means two angles on the ceremony, speeches, first dance. Coverage for all the planned and candid moments.
You want to know your photography needs are in experienced hands and I have captured hundreds of real weddings over the course of fifteen years. If its the middle of a heat wave or your classic British rain storm we are well prepared with the know how to keep your day running smoothly. As well capturing your day beautifully I have also been known to open the bubbly, attach the guys buttonholes, move tables and chairs and carry the odd suitcase.
Another important part of your experience is comfort. The majority of us aren’t used to being photographed and some people actively hate it. I certainly do! So it delights me when reviews comes through with a reoccurring phrase: ”Darren made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera”. Perfect. It’s exactly what I try to achieve. I do this by getting to know you well before the day, consultations in person, if possible, making sure to touch base now and again to check in with your planning and if needed a viewing of your venue. The most effective way I achieve that comfort level though is the pre wedding shoot. In the build up to the day we get together, on location and take some beautiful couple portraits or family portraits, just for an hour or so. This acts as all important practice for you, gives me a clue into what
