Every wedding is one-of-a-kind, and absolutely love that and is what I love most about wedding photography. That’s why flexible packages are available to fit your specific needs - whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a large celebration. The focus is always on capturing the moments that matter most to you. I work with you to go over your specific needs to find out what matters most to you, so I make sure these are captured on your special day.
My photography blends classic, natural, and documentary styles to create a timeless collection of images. My experience helps me anticipate those quick, precious moments that you’ll treasure forever. If you want a wedding photographer who values genuine connection and honest, beautiful imagery, David Fox Photography is an expert choice for your big day.
My first as a professional! It was at the beautiful venue of Whitley Hall in Sheffield. It was a very cold & drizzly February's morning ceremony, the couple were farmers who had to head back to their farm to milk the cows before returning! It made some stunning pictures and confirmed that my decision to go full time into wedding photography was the right one! The bride's sister then booked me later that day to cover their wedding later that year, who also then had to head off for milking post ceremony!
Patient, relaxed, candid, fun, natural
That my business has taken off so quickly. Booked over 30 weddings within 6 months! In my, albeit, relatively short career, I've been to lots of absolutely wonderful places, met some extraordinary people and completed many personal goals, some of which I never thought I'd achieve. It's when I receive messages from couple's weddings I've shot who then tell me about the prints they've had made from my photos - it makes me quickly remember that its one of the most important days of your lives that I'm capturing, and these moments, and photographs, will stay with you forever.
Get to know your suppliers before booking! It makes your time in front of the camera so much more chilled and fun! Please just don't go for the cheapest option either; there is a reason some suppliers are cheap, and I don't want these decisions to be regretted after your wedding because it was a cheap option. Ask about experience, get to know them, how they react in certain situations etc! You won't regret it, I promise!
Memoriam's for missing loved ones always get me super emotional. Even though I haven't met them, and may have only professional connections with the couple, it still gives me a lump in my throat, every single time.
I get an enquiry from a couple, I then tend to send over the basic details about my service and package options that I have to offer. I also at this point look to schedule a video call at their earliest convenience to get to know one another better, go over all of the details of the day, my packages/services and answer any questions. I send out some documents including a contract, a questionnaire that gathers info about your day, (timings, locations, important people, important photos etc) and confirm the booking with the deposit. I will then schedule in more calls with the couples as time gets nearer to the wedding date, where we will make a plan for the day, to ensure that you & I are both expecting the same when it comes to your big day!
Everybody loves a group shot! I love to get up high where possible, with family & friends behind the newlyweds, hands up high celebrating while the bride and groom celebrate with a big kiss!
One of my most memorable was at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in September 2025, with the newlyweds feeding polar bears and giraffes! Not many have had those opportunities on their wedding day! We were feeding the animals within touching distance, with behind the scenes tours & time to talk to the keepers. Was a truly unique wedding and a memorable one for sure!
I always look to visit your venue beforehand, or at least speak to the venue coordinators to see what they recommend in such an event. I do have bridal umbrellas, which always make a great photo! I keep an eye on the best of breaks in the weather, and try to gauge your enthusiasm for getting a little damp (or not!) and whatever your venue has to offer.
My dad gave me his Olympus OM10 as a young boy to play with (without any film in, otherwise I'd go through hundreds of films!). I used to take it everywhere with me, photographing absolutely nothing as it had no film! Then as I grew up visiting and working at lots of interesting places, my own, digital cameras never left my side. I have always been into nature & wildlife, so I'm used to working outside and with animals (I worked at chester zoo for 5 years so loads of animal pics!) My passion just blossomed from having a camera by my side my entire life.
I captured a wedding for a friend, and absolutely loved the entire day - no matter how terrified I was! But I really enjoyed it. It was when I noticed the couple had prints of my photos all over their house, and it made me realise how special that is to me, how much I enjoyed it and want to do it for more people.
