I’m a wedding photographer based in Hull, working across Yorkshire and the UK, creating natural, story-led wedding photography for couples who want their day documented as it actually feels — not staged or overly directed.

A calm presence on your wedding day
Most of the day is spent working quietly in the background, allowing moments to unfold without interruption. I don’t over-direct or constantly stage scenes, because the strongest images happen when people are simply experiencing their day.
When guidance is needed — group photos, couple portraits, or challenging light — I keep things simple, efficient, and relaxed so you spend more time with your guests and less time in front of the camera.

How would you describe your photography style?
My work is primarily documentary-led, capturing weddings naturally as they unfold, with relaxed, lightly guided portraits when needed to create a balanced story of the day.
Do you pose people or is everything natural?
Most of the day is unposed. I only step in when needed for group photos or couple portraits, and I keep direction simple so nothing feels forced or staged.
Do you work alone?
Many weddings include a second photographer, usually my wife Susan. This allows us to cover both the key moments and the wider story of your day at the same time.
How much direction do you give on the wedding day?
Very little. I don’t interrupt moments or stage scenes. Direction is only used when necessary to make sure key photographs are captured efficiently and naturally.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. I’m based in Hull and regularly photograph weddings across Yorkshire and throughout the UK.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Your full gallery is typically delivered within 2–4 weeks, carefully edited and individually processed to maintain consistency and quality.
Do you offer pre-wedding or engagement shoots?
Yes. Pre-wedding sessions are available and are useful for couples who want to feel more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
How many photos will we receive?
This depends on the length and flow of the day, but a full wedding typically results in a complete, curated gallery that tells the full story without unnecessary duplication.
Do you offer albums?
