What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always leave more time than you think you'll need for everything, just in case you run behind schedule.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I once had a bride that had embroidered the couple's names and the wedding date into the end of their veil; talk about unique!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to get to know a couple well before the wedding day, typically through a pre-wedding photoshoot. This way I can gauge what type of photos you like, don't like, as well as allow you to get used to the camera. On the day, I aim to provide a calm, relaxed, but fun presence while capturing those special moments.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Confetti! You can't go wrong with it. Whether it's bright and colourful, or classic white - just make sure there's lots of it!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The first 'bride's face surrounded by flowers' I was asked to take was amazing.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas to keep dry from place to place is a must. However, flexibility is often overlooked. Make sure you have a plan B for a photo location indoors so you're not having to think on your feet.
Describe how you got into photography.
I started taking photos as a hobby as a teenager. I loved to photograph bands for fun, then eventually turned my hobby into a career. It really is a blessing to call this my job!
