Hi, I’m Dan, the photographer behind Dandrew Photography. I’m a wedding photographer based in Hessle near Hull, capturing weddings across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the rest of the UK. My style is relaxed, natural and documentary led. That means your wedding day isn’t turned into a photoshoot. Instead, you get to enjoy the day with your friends and family and I'll be there to capture the day as it unfolds. I want me couples to look back on their galleries wondering when these things where happening. Most of the time I blend in like a guest with a camera so everything feels natural and easy. Of course we’ll still take some couple portraits and family photos, but always in a relaxed way that never keeps you away from your guests for long. I’ve been photographing weddings for over 10 years and have captured more than 300 wedding days across Yorkshire and the UK. From countryside barn weddings and festival style celebrations to city weddings and intimate ceremonies, every wedding is different and that’s exactly what I love about them.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Everyone wedding is super unique and memorable for different reasons but one of them that has definitely stuck with me was a lord of the rings themed wedding!
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is relaxed and natural. I focus on capturing real moments as they happen rather than turning your wedding into a photoshoot. Think less posing and more genuine moments with your friends and family.
What if we feel awkward or don’t like having our photos taken?
Honestly, most couples say this to me at first. The good news is you don’t need to be “good at photos”. I keep things really relaxed and natural so it never feels like a big photoshoot. I’ll guide you when needed but most of the time I’m just capturing moments as they happen. After a few minutes you’ll forget the camera is even there.
How long do you stay on the wedding day?
That depends on the package you choose. Most couples book full day coverage which usually runs from morning preparations through to the evening dance floor.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but most couples receive around 700 to 100 fully edited images for my full day package. I like to give more variants as you might prefer one angle better than the other.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Your full gallery is usually delivered within 4 to 6 weeks, although I always try to send a few sneak peek photos shortly after the wedding.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. I’m based near Hull in East Yorkshire but photograph weddings across Yorkshire and the UK.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
Honestly, some of the best photos happen in unexpected weather. I always find places that have texture and cool background for photos whether that be inside or outside. Or just embrace the rain, it's one day and you can wash your clothes, but the photos will last a lifetime!
How do we book you?
Once you decide you’d like to book, I just require a deposit and a signed contract to secure your date in the diary.
Do you offer engagement or couple shoots?
Yes. Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding and they’re always a really fun, relaxed experience.
