Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire with incognito waiters who were asked to be clumsy and rude!
Emotive, observed, elegant, memorable, relaxed
My wonderful clients who are brave and trusting such that we can make some epic wedding day images for generations to come
Choose a photographer based on 3 things: 1) love their style, 2) view all of their weddings, not just their portfolio shots 3) choose someone you get on with and don't mind attending your wedding day.
I always like it when the best man has arranged for a distance and fail family member to join the speeches via a video call - emotive and modern!
Relaxed and informal yet well organised. I typically advise we sit down and have a pre-wedding consultation, chat through the timings of your day and the people and shots that are important to you. The rest is over to me. I will let you know when I need names and more detailed timings, and on the day I'm unobtrusive, yet everywhere.
Always, always take time to have some portraits away from the guests - this is the time you can relax a little and enjoy each others company (it's usually the first time you will be able to catch your breath). Trust the photographer to get some memorable shots for you.
My shots tend to be documentary in style so I'm not generally staging photos, that's not to say I won't be hanging out of windows, climbing onto roofs, peeking through gaps to get the best shot
An umbrella, the flexibility to think on your feet, and a photographer that can plan ahead, find the shelter and the cover and get the shots that are needed whatever the weather.
I've had a passion for photography for many years. Having spent a career in the creative industry as a client, I wanted a creative outlet to express my own perspective....this combined with a love of wedding photography was the stepping stone to me becoming a photographer
