It's difficult to choose just one but there's just something about a dinosaur dancing in a monastery that sticks in your mind.
Creative, candid, colourful, emotive and FUN
Whenever a couple contacts me because they've been referred by someone who's booked me it makes me do a happy dance because it means I did a good job.
Ask as many questions as you can (no question is stupid and everyone will understand that you just need to make sure you're wedding will be exactly how you want it), and take notes so that when you're worrying about it later you have something to look back on.
One couple had a friend make a macrame backdrop for their ceremony which was really beautiful and unique.
Prior to booking I'll go through everything with you, we can book a call or video chat if you would like. Then I'll send you a contract to review. Once you're happy you just need to sign the contract and pay the deposit to secure the date. If you have booked a pre-wedding shoot we'll meet up 3-6 months before the big day and get some practice in front of the camera before the wedding. I'll then contact you about a month before the wedding for a phone call to go over all the details. Your online gallery will be ready within 4 weeks after the wedding and your USB and album (if you opted for one) will follow shortly after.
I love getting the couple to practice their first dance away from everyone else. It tends to get people to relax a little (sometimes because they're with their new spouse and are just ridiculously happy and sometimes laughing becaue they feel silly but it works just the same) and you get some nice little looks and laughs and its a quiet intimate moment. Plus I get to take first dance pictures in places you wouldn't usually find a first dance.
'Can you get a photo of us on the cable car down to the beach?'... 'Of Course I can!!'
If you're feeling brave, lets go outside!! I LOVE rainy pictures and I usually have an umbrella with me that we can use for photos. If you want to stay dry, no problem, we'll get creative indoors. I always have different lights and filters with me, and I can do wonders with a well placed mirror.
My (now) husband bought me my first camera 7 years ago and I fell in love immediately (with him and photography.) I started on animals but quickly progressed to people and never looked back. Then in 2018 he saw a post on facebook from a bride who's photographer had taken their money and disappeared and couldn't afford to pay a new photographer. My husband volunteered me. I was absolutely terrified but once I got into it I loved it and couldn't stop smiling for days afterwards and I knew from then that this was what I wanted to do.
