I've always had an interest in photography more with nature and outdoors, then with our children, and I then photographed my sister's wedding. I photographed a friend of a friend's wedding as my first paid photography job and it went from there and here we are.

Ceremony Package

The ceremony package includes approx 30-60 minutes before the ceremony start time, the ceremony itself, signing of the register if permitted, group photos afterwards and bride/groom portraits.
Half Day Package

The half-day package includes the ceremony package and attendance at your reception/wedding breakfast to capture speeches, guests, table decorations, cake etc.
Ceremony to 1st Dance

The ceremony to 1st dance package includes the half day package and also attendance at the evening celebrations to capture your first dance

Hi, I'm Chris. I’m a wedding photographer based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham in the North East of England. From the bridal preparations to your first dance, many months or even years preparing for your wedding day comes down to just one special day. A wedding day can be busy, and sometimes moments of your day pass by too quickly. You need a wedding photographer to capture one of the most amazing days of your lives to keep those memories fresh in your mind forever. Here at Chris Hughes Photography, we know that some couples may be having a large wedding at a large venue, and others a smaller private wedding at a Registry Office, your wedding is special to you, and we can provide a package suitable for all budgets. All of my wedding photography packages include a pre-wedding consultation so that we can discuss your specific requirements. I can show you various examples of my work so that you can decide what style you desire. All packages come with a USB stick presented in a wooden box of your images with reproduction rights.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always shop around and get samples of the suppliers work to make an informed decision. If possible try and get previous customers reviews.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I start by discussing dates for availability and then offer a consultation with the couple so that we can meet and get to know each other. I can show further samples of my work, wedding albums and find out the style of photography the couple would like including any special photos. Some couples don't like their photo taken but still want a photographer to capture their special day and that is totally fine. I can still take the traditional family photos and the rest can be totally natural in the moment. A lot of couples I have worked with have said they didn't even realise I was there. Once the photos are ready I will put them in your personal online gallery protected with a password so you can review the images and share them with family and friends. Once you are happy with the images I will mail out the USB stick in a lovely wooden presentation box.

Make sure I get photos of the bride & groom's dog in his tuxedo
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas and lots of them. Seriously if you do have a wet day thats not a problem, my equipment is weatherproof and we can still get some amazing images either in the rain or indoors.
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always loved taking photos from when I was little. I gradually improved my skills and cameras and started taking photos of family and friends events and from there launched my own business.
