Chris Connorton Photography Full Description
It’s always a bit odd writing about yourself but since I’m probably the one non-guest at your wedding that you’ll spend the most time with, you will want to get to know me a bit better and how I approach things, and why I’d be a good fit for your wedding day, because, to me, wedding photography is much more than turning up and taking a few great photos. My Philosophy The planning process is crucial. It allows me to really get to know you and build a genuine connection with you prior to the big day. My style is guided by my surroundings: each wedding has its own story. I love to capture it all, from the still moments of intimacy, the fleeting (often fast!) first kiss, the passing glances, the large embrace with your family, and more. It’s the shots like these that make for unique and lasting visual memories for you to experience again in the future. My Approach It’s your vision that always determines my approach. Some couples want a photographer to be a fly on the wall; others want to exchange lots of ideas before and during the wedding. Above all, it's essential that you feel comfortable, live fully in the moment, and are able to enjoy your wedding weekend without thinking about the camera. I believe that’s what may differentiate me in the market is my ability to work in any environment and location. I am equally at home in both lively and boisterous weddings as I am in small and intimate ones… My Look I strive to create beautiful, honest, and timeless images, and deliver a mix of finely curated details, as well as real, joyful, and unexpected moments. My aim at your wedding is to capture, heartfelt emotion, striking composition and beautiful light, I want you to look back on your photos 50 years from now and be able to transport yourselves back in time. My photography isn’t about location or venues or dresses. It’s about people. And all the individual character and emotions that come with that. The venues, location and dress are props!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My first was the most memorable....didn't think it would be such hard work and I was a second shooter!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

relaxed, fun, full of colour, airy, bright, moody.....but not all at once!

What about your business are you most proud of?

Don't know yet!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure you like the photographer as (unlike most of the suppliers) they will be with you all of the day....

Describe your typical process with a couple.

As for process I generally like to meet the couple usually at the venue to go through the itinerary, sign an agreement and take a deposit to confirm the date and the booking. I usually have a quick chat with the bride to get an idea of the dress and bouquets so I know what gear to bring. I will then send you a shoot list with all of those important shots that you can tick off and add to with regard to the images you want and in particular the formals with friends and family etc. I will also send you a mood board usually on WhatsApp or in Pinterest for you to say yes or no to the style and composition style...or you can send them to me...either way its a two way process so we all come to an understanding and appreciation what what you like and your preferences. I also will also call you 2 weeks before the event to see if anything has changed and to check if there are any additions or omissions....

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The couple laughing and just having fun!

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Not sure I can tell you that!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas!

Describe how you got into photography.

I started photography at school which was a very long time ago.
