My approach is simple: I work with my couples as actual human beings to create images that reflect their personalities – not just an artificial ‘version’ of what you both look like when you’re told to look a certain way. This unique approach takes all the awkwardness out of portraits + is perfect for couples who are camera shy or prefer natural wedding photography. Although I am unobtrusive, I prefer to interact with your day as a guest rather than a formal ‘official photographer’. This makes me more approachable to your friends + family + means I can get involved with your day with them to create photography that’s candid, story telling + full of your guests authentic expressions.
This means that my work avoids ‘posing’ + instead focuses on creating a ‘space’ where you, your friends + families feel that they can continue being themselves in front of camera. In an age where everything is polished + perfected – I believe that (now, more than ever) people relate to an ‘energy’ in photographs – rather than the basic aesthetic. I definitely still offer family photos + portraits but they are photographed in a way that accentuates + represents the personalities of people in the photo, instead of boring, stiff, rigid photos which somehow still exist. My work has been published on Rock My Wedding, Love My Dress, Rock ’n’ Roll Bride, Green Wedding Shoes, Junebug, + Buzzfeed. I have also won Wedding Ideas Magazine’s “Best Wedding Photographer” award + often work with them to create awesome photos.
