Back down in Gloucestershire, there is a particular wedding that stands out to me. There was something about the two families coming together that was really special and there was just SO much love between everyone. Hearing the way that everyone was speaking about each other was really touching and everyone was such good fun!
Romantic, Timeless, Rustic, Different, Relaxed
For me it's about not only my style standing apart from other people, but also my approach on the wedding day. I'm such a people person and this really does help to get my couples feeling comfortable around me really quickly. You will see on your wedding day that I am genuinely loving spending the day with you all. I'm proud to love what I do.
So, from experience from planning my wedding.. guests are a pain! So my top tip is to remember that this whole day is about YOU GUYS! Don't get caught up worrying about everyone else. People are there for you, because it's your special day. Make the decision that you won't let people stress you out and you will be so much happier for it!
Now I know this is definitely my favourite, because I did the same for my wedding! Rather than having your traditional wedding favours, we decided to opt for a caricaturist. This gives the guests an amazing gift from your wedding day, that they can frame and treasure as a true keepsake of your wedding day.
If a couple think that I'm the photographer for them, then the first step is for them to get in touch. We can converse via email or phone, then pending location we can arrange a meeting.
A deposit and contract signature is required to secure your wedding date, and the remaining balance must be paid a minimum of a month before your wedding.
I also offer a pay monthly option to my clients. This would allow you to split the payment (less the deposit) by the amount of months between your booking date and 1 month before your wedding. So the earlier you book, the smaller your monthly payments will be.
I couldn't limit it to one photo, but I really do think the couples shots are super important. This is the one time of the day that you will have the opportunity to have a little time with the two of you. A time for a little romance, smooching and a walk to find some pretty locations for pictures.
Recently I took a picture of a golden eagle with the bride and groom. That's certainly a first for me! Tilly the eagle got a scare off some cyclists in the distance and proceeded to fly directly towards the camera. Terrifying, but very cool!
So rain is a pain, but we can make it work! Make sure you have yourself a nice white umbrella and maybe even some wellies! Outdoor pictures are my absolute favourite so I really hope you'll be brave enough to take a walk outside with me.
I have grown up with a camera in my hand, then realised as a teenager that I was getting rather good! From their my passion has grown and I am now in my dream job.
