What is your most memorable wedding?
Thats too hard to choose! All of my couples and weddings have been special in their own unique way! I'm getting married myself next year so it's proably going to be that one!!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Classic, Romantic, Timeless, Dreamy
What about your business are you most proud of?
Haha who comes up with these questions? I'm most proud of the fact that every couple I've ever served has had nothing but good things to say about me! I love helping people so I guess I'm just naturally cut out to do this job!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be yourself and make it your own! I have a guide on my website on how to plan the perfect day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
This is actually a good question! The bride at my last wedding designed a really cool logo for their wedding invites that incorporated both their family names! That's graphic designers for you!!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Typical process? For me I love to meet every couple in person or via video call at least once before the wedding! Everyones different so I just like to meet up and chat about your plans and let the couple ask any questions they want. I don't try to sell the couple on anything! My approach to weddings is to get to know the couples personalities so I can photograph it from an insiders point of view. The best way to do that is to get to know each other first!
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Family. At the end of the day that's all that matters! Sure I love shooting romantic portraits in that dreamy light. But no one knows what the future holds. It's the photographs of you and your family members that truly matter!
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I'm never asked to take anything! My couples see my portfolio before they book so they know they can trust me to get the shots they need. I photograph weddings how I'd want my own to be photographed and I think that honesty and realness shows in my work.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
A positive attitude and an umbrella! These questions are the worst! What else are you going to do? you can't control the weather and what does a little bit of rain matter anyway? I capture weddings however they unfold so if that means kissing and dancing in the rain then bring it on!
Describe how you got into photography.
Great question! When I was a young lad I picked up a camera, took a few shots and figured out that pictures were a way to travel back in time. Photographing a person, a place or an object means it will never disappear! For me, photography has always been a way to hold on to and even remember those special memories and moments!
