Carl Woodward Photography

Carl was the photographer for our wedding in August 2021 and my husband and I don’t have enough words for how professional and capable he has been. We spoke initially on the phone after my husband found his website online. We were impressed with Carl from the beginning and he seemed capable and confident. From here we met face-to-face, and we were immediately put at ease. We received a photograph questionnaire on email prior to the day which Carl provided to capture our thoughts on any specific photos we’d like, such as bride and groom with bride’s parents, or a shot of the bridesmaids and maid of honour for example. We kept in regular contact, sharing ideas for photos that we had also found online. The day itself was captured perfectly. We had a mixture of both posed and natural shots. Carl surpassed our expectations of a photographer and was with us from early morning until well into the evening. Another photographer, Gareth also joined us, acting as the secondary photographer for Carl and capturing the groom’s party getting ready. We were delighted to have two photographers for the price of one and his shots have also been fantastic! We had a few small children at our wedding which can be a handful(!) but both Carl and Gareth made them feel at ease and we have some great pictures of them. In one particular incident one of the little ones even took hold of Carl’s camera and took 200 photos whilst running down the hall! On the day Carl provided a handful of Polaroid shots for us and in the days that followed shots from both Carl and Gareth were shared with us. We have just received our digital copies and my husband and I are in the process now of choosing the pictures for our album. We can’t recommend Carl and Gareth enough! Both were professional and very easy to talk to. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer please look no further than Carl and Gareth.

Can’t thank Carl enough for his beautiful pictures of our wedding day! He captured the day so perfectly and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was there all day and even stayed longer than he was meant to make sure we had the best photos! Thanks again Carl for everything!

I cannot thank and recommend Carl enough… my husband and I were let down by our photographer 25 days before our wedding. Carl was recommended to me and luckily had our date available. The way he dealt with us from the initial call I could tell he had integrity and was on a mission for us not to be let down again. He definitely did not let us down. From the minute Carl walked into the bridal suite I could tell he was a great guy and I felt comfortable and built a rapport immediately. Throughout the day things just got better and better and my husband and and I were laughing away with Carl like he was a guest! He captured everything we’ve seen so far amazingly and stayed way beyond the time he needed to just because he’s genuinely passionate about what he does and wanted to keep capturing the good times right into the night. Carl took us out for one final shot under an archway at night because he remembered I said I would have loved a photo there. Everyone has talked about Carl for weeks after our wedding and said the best thing that ever happened to us was being let down by the previous photographer 25 days ago - and we couldn’t agree more. If you are looking for a photographer who will not only capture every perfect moment but get involved in your whole day like a mate then look no further! Thank you Carl!

3 months ago- Five stars are not enough to show how great Carl Woodward Photography is. Right at the beginning after meeting Carl in our local coffee shop, from the first handshake we knew we had found our photographer. Carl is friendly, warm, professional, and it's so clear to see that he is completely passionate about his work. Neither of us is comfortable having our photos taken and Carl was quick to put us at ease. Once we had hired Carl, he was great at answering qs no matter how silly I think our fav "is 35 bags of confetti enough for a confetti shot". Just in case anyone is wondering the answer - it's more than enough!! On the day everyone loved Carl, his friendly, funny nature made everyone feel comfortable and confident. He captured our most beautiful moments from our day, from bridal prep, Brides father's first look, ceremony, bridesmaids fooling around and our first dance, Carl stayed so late into the night to get fantastic photos from our dance floor and even got the most loved shot of day our champagne shot. Carl presented our photos in a gorgeous box that is personalised to us. We honestly cannot recommend Carl Woodward Photography enough. We plan on keeping in touch with Carl and hopefully have some family shots done in the future.
