What is your most memorable wedding?
We shot a wedding where the groom did not know he was getting married until the wedding day. He woke up in the morning with his wedding suit and a note on it telling him that he was getting married that day detailing where to be.
The bride had planned the wedding as a surprise for their 10-year anniversary!
The couple were engaged but didn't get married because they couldn't afford it. The groom showed up and it was a really special and intimate day, he was shocked and overjoyed with what she had planned.
As you can imagine, the grooms speech was a little short.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I’m proud of the feedback we get from our couples.
"After actually getting married the second best decision we made for our wedding was Capture House Weddings!" - Mr & Mrs Viggers
"We couldn’t be more happy with Capture House Weddings. From the word go they were so responsive and captured every moment of our wedding so so perfectly. We were overwhelmed by how stunning our photos and video are" - Mr & Mrs Richardson
"We were attracted by their relaxed style, their previous work and how in control of all the details they were. Our wedding video is fantastic and we absolutely loved how they really capture the characters and humour of our family and friends. We we would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone we know." - Mr & Mrs Ruddock
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Meet as many photographers as possible before booking one. You’re going to be spending more time with them than the person you’re marrying on the day so you must feel comfortable and be able to have a laugh with them. Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you want even if they sound silly. If they help you feel more reassured before and on the day, it's worth it.
Remember that the wedding is about you and not the guests, be unapologetically selfish and do what you both want to do.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We love a photo wall made up of pictures of the couple. It's great to see their history and another side to them that we may not have known previously plus they often include photos we took on their engagement shoot that makes us feel great as they clearly treasure them.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Every couple is different so we tailor the process to your needs.
Typically, you'll get in touch via our website or phone and speak to our salesperson called Fiona. She will find out more about what you're looking for, explain our packages and check our availability.
Some couples want to meet the photographer/videographer beforehand but we find that most couples book before meeting us as we get booked up quickly.
Once booked, Fiona will introduce you to your main photographer/videographer for the day and get all the details we need.
If you've booked photography, the photographer will get in touch and book in a free engagement shoot at a time and location of your choice. We'll have the engagement shoot so you can get comfortable in front of the camera, get to know your photographer and get any questions answered that you may have. The images usually get sent to you within a week!
A month before the wedding, we'll get in touch and get the final details such as the latest schedule for the day and group photo list.
We have a blast at your wedding and get the images/video edited and sent to you online within two weeks for your approval. We make any changes requested and once you're happy, we'll post you the final images/video for you to treasure.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
There are loads of important photos of key moments you should get but for us, it's the images with elderly relatives that are the most important. It's very special for them to be there and it'll mean a lot to you to look back on when they're sadly no longer with us.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
We took photos for a farmer's wedding on his farm and he asked us to get a photo of him cleaning his tractor wheels with his bride's dress while looking shocked. It's a lot more posed than we ever go for but it did make for a funny photo!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Welcome to Britain! The first thing we'd say is there's no point worrying about things that you can't control. Our team are used to being thrown into situations that we weren't prepared for and we always make it work, it's one of the things we love about the job!
Our team are waterproof so if you want to brave the elements with an umbrella, we're happy to do so however, if you want to stay dry and warm, we can find a nice location indoors to get those all-important photos.
Our priority is to ensure you're comfortable, have a brilliant day and get the photos you want.
Describe how you got into photography.
As we're a large team we all have different stories but we do have one thing in common. We grabbed a camera any chance we could when growing up whether it be with a disposable camera at family holidays or constantly taking pictures on our phones, we love getting those real and natural moments.
