C&D Photography Full Description
We offer a professional yet personal photography service that has been appreciated by many happy couples over the years. We conducted our first wedding in 1991 and have successfully captured gorgeous moments at hundreds of weddings since. C&D Photography (Clive & Debbie) was established in 2006 and from June 2015 we now run the business form our new studio in the lovely setting of Denby Dale, Huddersfield. Once a contact has been made we will offer you the opportunity to come and discuss your dreams and also to view our latest products, including our brand new range of Italian (Tony Sarlo) Photobooks. We can also present our images on a beautiful diamante USB for you to view and treasure for ever. As standard we will do a "reccy" of all new locations unfamiliar to us as well as arranging a final meet up with you before the big day. We will discuss your final choice of the style of photography you are after, together with a short list of the groups you wish us to take. On the Big Day itself you and all parents are free to request any additional photographs should one come to mind. At a typical wedding we will take approximately 400 images. We believe this gives you an excellent number from which to choose your favourites. Any more than 400 images and we find the selection process for your favourites becomes a nightmare. A typical book will hold around 80 images. Our task is to make the choice of 80 from 400 as hard as possible for you, in a nice way!! Clive has been taking photographs since he bought his first camera in 1979. Debbie, his faithful assistant, assists at all our weddings where she is regularly asked to attach button holes, tie dresses and do all the little girly things that only girls can do. If you are looking for excellent value for money for your wedding photography, would ideally want insured professionals who just love attending weddings then please get in touch. You will not be disappointed. Thank you.

Thank you for reading our profile. Debbie and I really appreciate the opportunity that couples give us when they entrust the biggest day of their lives into our hands to capture it for them. We can think of no greater privilege. Thanks again.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My wife would slap me if I said it wasn't my own. It may be a few years ago now, 1984, but I remember it like it was yesterday. We had a fabulous day before heading to the Lake District for our honeymoon later in the day (that's what you did in those days).

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Friendly, flexible, approachable, candid, traditional

What about your business are you most proud of?

Our happy customers

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't plan too far ahead. Any more than 18 months and it seems a lifetime away.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A ferrari turning up unexpectantly to take the groom to the church.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Discuss, shoot, view and all the while ENJOY.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

The one that you hadn't thought about beforehand.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

On a hill in the middle of a farmers field just a couple of weeks ago. The pics were stunning. See Facebook.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Sounds daft and obvious but an umbrella. If at all possible allow the photographer to shoot outdoors. As long as the bride is dry we can work round everyone else.

Describe how you got into photography.

Can't remember how or why but I bought my first SLR camera in 1979 at 18 years old (probably because I wanted some good photographs of my girlfriend!!). However I found out sometime later that my grandad, who died before I was born, was also into photography.
