FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

One wedding at Pembroke Lodge Richmond park was extremely windy and guest were losing hats and hair was everywhere. After the group shot I suggest to the couple we should use the wind to our advantage and I created an amazing image of the bride wrapped in the grooms arms with her veil flowing behind her and into the scenery. You can never depend on the weather so make the most of what is available.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

one Bride hand made all of her confetti boxes for her guests. The were lovely!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After an initial phone call or email enquiry if the date is available we have a Wedding consultation, a chance to have a chat about photography styles and preferences while taking down all the details of the day. I then create photography Itinerary and pinterest board for the couple to add any images ideas during the run up to the wedding. Pre wedding photo shoot, A lot of couples like to take advantage of my free pre wedding shoot to feel comfortable on the day and also create signing boards/books for their reception or personalised gifts for family and special friends. All images from the day will be available to view online four weeks after the wedding date. A personalised memory stick usb of images and sample album will be given to the couple. If required extra edits to images are made and final album ordered. Album turnover time is usually 5-6 weeks once finalised.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Just the two of you. This sounds like an obvious answer but sometimes the day takes over. Even if your style is a relaxed journalistic, it is good to spend even 5 minutes to take some images and be alone as a couple to take in the day.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I was once asked to take a photo of the groom resting his foot on an old wooden toilet in the couples room at the Great Fosters Hotel. I believe it was a feature from when the hunting lodge was build in 1550.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wellies! You should not shy away from the rain instead create a memory. Amazing shots can be captured in the evening rain.

Describe how you got into photography.

My journey like a lot of photographers started with photography being a hobby as a child. I studied Art/Photography at GCSE and Alevel and then I moved towards studying travel and tourism at Plymouth university but my passion was always in photography. so later while I was pregnant with my first son I took up a night course at Thames Valley University to boost my skills in film and digital. In 2006 with support from the Princes Trust I set up my own business. Which has evolved over the years into what is Bphoto today.
