One of my favorite personal touches I've witnessed at a wedding was when a couple created a dedicated 'memory lane' during their reception. They displayed a series of photographs showcasing their journey together, starting from childhood and leading up to their wedding day. It was a beautiful way to share their unique story with their guests and create a sense of nostalgia and connection. The couple took the time to curate these photos and added handwritten captions that brought each moment to life. It was a touching tribute to their love and the people who had been a part of their lives. Witnessing the joy and sentiment that filled the room as guests explored the memory lane was truly special. It not only allowed everyone to feel a deeper connection with the couple but also created a warm and intimate atmosphere throughout the celebration. This personal touch reminded me of the power of personal storytelling and how it can truly enhance the wedding experience for both the couple and their loved ones.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once the couple decides to work with me, we move forward with scheduling an engagement session. This pre-wedding shoot not only helps us create stunning images but also allows us to build rapport and helps the couple feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
In the months leading up to the wedding, I remain in close communication with the couple, offering guidance and assistance in creating a detailed timeline for photography. We collaborate on shot lists, discuss any specific requests or themes, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
On the wedding day, I arrive early to capture the preparations, details, and the excitement unfolding. Throughout the day, I blend into the background, capturing candid moments, emotions, and all the significant events as they naturally occur. I also ensure to take the time for dedicated bride and groom portraits, family photos, and any other shots the couple desires.
After the wedding, I meticulously curate and edit the images, ensuring they reflect the couple's unique style and the essence of their love story. The final collection is then presented to the couple in a beautifully crafted gallery or album.
Throughout the entire process, my goal is to provide a personalized and stress-free experience.
