What is your most memorable wedding?
To be honest probably our main photographer's little brother. We say little, he's over 6ft. Our team is really good friends with the bride too. Sometimes it can be nervy doing pictures for people your'e close to but the day went really well and the pictures came out beautifully.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
fun, real, relaxed, organised, and experimental.
What about your business are you most proud of?
We try to keep things relaxed. Make sure things are organised on out end, so the couple don't have to worry about us on the day. We try to know who is who before hand, so the couple don't have worry.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think about what is really important to YOU and not so much what every body else thinks. Don't really want to spend a load of money on some minor thing? Then don't, spend it on the honey moon. Those minor things important to you? List out the ones that are a priority and choose :)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple had 'birds of paradise' as their main flower, all of their table were given the names of different birds.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We aim to meet the couple at least twice before the big day. Firstly, to see if we all "fit" together and also to discuss what the couple wants, dates and go through packages. Trying to fit wedding planning around a work-life is difficult so we do offer evening consultations when possible. After this meeting we send a quote and request a 10% deposit. Nearer the wedding we have another consultation, and go through the order of the day etc. THE BIG DAY! We offer a range of packages, depending on how long you want us for.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
One with the all the guests.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
It can be annoying but have fun with it. Have some umbrellas handy, and be ready to splash.
Describe how you got into photography.
We have been doing design work for over 20 years and 10 years ago this naturally spilled over into photography as another creative outlet. Doing event photography and portraits. 5 years ago a friend asked us to shoot their wedding and it has been another arrow in our quiver ever since.
