FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Frederico and Irina's wedding in Salento, Italy. Mainly for the right reasons, but not only! The right reasons were the 5 day, sun-filled, fun-filled extravaganza that was their wedding celebration, in the old Baroque town of Lecce and surrounding areas. The wrong reasons were when their beloved dog (*read* 'their baby') bolted off RIGHT after their wedding vows on the seafront and the wedding turned from a celebration into a search party for 3-4 hours!! I'm pleased to say that just when we we're thinking the worst, Ellie returned from her unscripted adventure, and the party was kicked back off, continuing to 3am.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

documentary - natural - real - fun - stylish

What about your business are you most proud of?

Purely and simply, I'm proud to produce photos that people love. I love the feedback I get; seeing couples hang large pictures up on their walls; and referring friends and sisters, brothers, cousins to me - so I get to see so many of my couples at more weddings in the future!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Have fun & do it your way. Pinterest is GREAT for inspiration but step away when you're feeling overwhelmed, and think what you really want from your own imagination.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I think it's really important to meet up before the day, I think it would be a bit strange to only first meet your photographer who will be there all day on the morning - not good for any camera nerves! A pre-wedding shoot is great fun (I promise!) and a good way to get used to the camera and to get to know each other... and so is lunch/a pot of tea/or a few beers. If meeting up in person isn't possible then chatting by skype is the next best thing. You can contact me any time in the run up to the wedding and on the day you really don't need to worry about a thing, I'll have everything photography wise covered.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

The Italians say "Sposa Bagnata, Sposa Fortunata" if it rains, basically meaning it's lucky. Let's face it, it's probably to try & make people feel better ;) HOWEVER, rain really CAN make for some fab pictures, picking a dress up or piggy-backing the bride to avoid the puddles, or umbrellas blowing inside-out on the windy British seaside, it's just part of it. Of course, it will talked about - it's the British way - but along copious amounts of fizz, fun, and dancing, it doesn't change the essence of the day.
