a super laid back wedding at Mitton Hall. They had a really early ceremony in Summer and spent the whole afternoon sat outside drinking cocktails on the terrace. The bride and groom had arranged a wedding themed mini golf company to set up on the lawn and had tons of garden games out. it just created a really fun and relaxed atmosphere, they didn't want a formal day, it just didn't suit them or their friends so it was great to see a format that suited them to a TEE!
Modern, Vibrant, Fun, Natural & Bright.
Developing such amazing relationships with my couples and getting awesome feedback that they felt super comfortable having me around all day
Do what YOU want to do, not what you think you should.
Instead of getting a wedding cake, I had one couple organise a 'Bake-off' at their wedding, loads of their guests brought cakes they had made and created a huge desert table!!
it usually begins with either an email or message via social media, I say hello, send my brochure and answer any immediate questions! Some people like to have a phone chat, Skype or catch up before booking, they like to put a face to the name and check im a real human being! :D
Then if they want to go ahead, a digital contract and invoice are sent, once those are returned alongside a booking fee the date is secure.
Im always available for advice or recommendations but we usually have a full catch up about alllll the gorgeous details about a month before their date to find out timings, any group shot requests and just to get more of a feel for whats going on.
After the wedding is photographed I send a couple of sneak peaks a day or so after, its then upto 12 weeks until the final gallery Is ready and sent out :)
I think this is a really tough question to answer, every couple and every wedding is different, but I think REAL moments would be a heavy one for me. For some it might be pictures with their nearest and dearest, others love detail shots of all the crafty things they've made, the joy of weddings is that you can do it your way, who am I to tell you whats most important to you!... I do love pets at weddings though ;)
take it in your stride, none of us can control the weather. you can usually always get some kick ass couple shots still, you just have to be a bit open to running outside if there is a break in the weather!
I have shots wedding with RELENTLESS rain and still got some incredible photos, just be open to taking your photographers advice (and moving FAST!)
Oh gosh, ok. So MANY, and I mean many years ago...I used to dance in big nightclubs, I was a bit of a party girl! I remember always being being fascinated with the event photographers and their mad party pictures!...I enrolled in a course at my local college, expecting to just shoot gigs and clubs. I actually didn't really do much of that at all! I then went on to do a photography degree and concentrated mostly on fashion photography. This is the area I got into after uni which I think has blended nicely into my wedding work. Weddings started off with just friends, friends of friends...and then snowballed into what it is today!...and now, I wouldn't change it for the world!!
