When it came to picking a wedding Photographer, it was one of the things I dreaded. I absolute hate having my photo taken and as someone that hates about 95% of the photos of herself, having a day where most of the photos would include me was a scary proposition, so we need a photographer that could capture those un-posed, natural shots and put me at ease. We first came across Ben's photos at a wedding fair and had a lovely chat with his wife (Ben was off shooting a wedding that day) she showed us multiple photos of the natural candid shots Ben had captured, I think it was his shot of a group of bridesmaids messing around with crazy glasses that sealed it for us! We chatted over messages and he understood my nerves and put me at ease even before our pre weddings shoot. We never actually met Ben until our pre shoot but he was so friendly and it felt like we already knew him, he put us straight at ease knowing that natural photos was what we wanted. We had not long become a family of 4 so we were combining the pre wedding shoot and a family shoot. The photos he captured were amazing, he gave us pointers but just let us walk and act normally whilst he snapped away. Just what I wanted for the wedding. When our pre wedding photos came through we knew we had made the right decision, for the first time I loved every photo of myself. Fast forward to the wedding day and again the photos Ben captured were moments that I will treasure forever, the photo of me dancing with my daughter in the dressing room is one of my favourites. We did have a list of classic photos we wanted but Ben knew we didn't want hours of standing around and having photos and it was more important to capture everyone natural, having fun and enjoying themselves. The day really does fly by and with Ben's knowledge of the venue he managed to capture some great shots and so many candid shots, me celebrating getting a hole in one whilst my new husband looks on is again another favourite. If like me you are not a fan of the camera (or want a more natural photo album) then I definitely recommend Ben he knows how to capture those shots that you will love. The wedding day really does fly by and having a great photographer to capture the photos so you can relive them for years to come is so important, we couldn't be happier with our photos and I can honestly say I loved every photo he took. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work, dedication, and the incredible images that now serve as timeless memories. What an absolute pleasure it was to have Ben and his second photographer Sam at our wedding! Ben was so friendly from the first time we met him up until our wedding day (and beyond I've no doubt). He got to know us, understood exactly who we were as people, made us laugh, worked with our other suppliers, but was conscious not to take up too much of our time with posed photos, only as long as necessary. Ben was absolutely fantastic - where to start! We contacted Ben and met him at our venue for a coffee and we instantly knew we wanted him to be our photographer. He was extremely friendly, had a no pressure approach, explained the packages and brought examples with him for us to look through. It was everything we needed to make a decision. Leading up to the Wedding the communication was spot on, we kept in touch and before the day we had a questionnaire to fill out for Ben to indicate some of the formalities and details for the day - everything was really well organised. On the day having Ben there during the Bridal prep was loads of fun, it also helped us all feel quite relaxed and chilled out before the ceremony. All my bridal party have made so many comments on how brilliant Ben was. Fast forward to the ceremony etc and Ben was great. A pleasure to deal with, we had a real laugh as well with some of the photos - I have to say picking the right photographer really does make the day (and evening!) It's such a big part of it and that's where your memories will come from. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ben - we were 100% confident we were going to get a really great service from the moment we booked him and we were more than happy.
